Who are the people that they dislike your educative videos?, those 303 people who disliked the videos could be from service centers. Hats of to you for speaking truth. Your videos are very educative for car owners which I shared to my friends and alert them from cheating of service centers. For changing Engine oil, air filters and other small repairs no need to go for service centers, that can be done be any road side mechanic before us and without any cheating and with less price.

In Pakistan there is also a lot confusion in this regard, after a lot of hard work and research on internet I came to this conclusion 0W-20 for up to 50K KM 5W-30 for 50 k KM to 100K KM 10W-40 for 1lac KM to 150K KM And afterward 20W-50

10 w 30. 10 means viscosity, meaning during cold start the viscosity will be 10 that means when we start a vehicle in the morning the oil will be thin and will immediately lubricate the engine components. 30 means when the temperature of the engine reaches 100 degrees the viscosity will be 30 that is slightly thicker so that it keeps the engine lubricated. In cold countries people use 0 w 40. That means when the weather is cold the oil will quickly lubricate the engine.

Dear Amit, I am a regular follower of your shows. Indeed, it's a very good one. Many thanks for these awareness initiative. On this particular video (related to engine oil), I do not fully agree that engine oil lasts upto 15000 km. Companies recommend considering the maximum threshold kms. I am quite confident that if some one changes engine oil with a frequency of 10000 km (mainly diesel engines) , then his/her car will be ok and will be covered under normal warrantly support but engine smoothness and life will be reduced significantly. I personaly expericed that 5000 km is ok for diesel and 7-10000 km is ok for petrol engines. The problem is for diesel engines when you use any engine oil for 10000 km it becomes so dirty that even engine flush addition won't work properly. Please let me know your thought(s). Half baked info Ambient temperature cannot be the only criteria while choosing engine oil An engines most critical time is during cold starts after few hours or in the mornings, thats when most of the damage happens as oil is thicker oil is cold and takes time to warm up to flow to all parts of engine. Engine moving parts tolerances are v v less today as compared to those with 15 20 years back and hence modern engines need 5w oils at least so that oil can immediately run off into the smallest of gaps. .take an obd2 device, plug it into the car and see the 1st temperature reading of engine temp in the day no matter if u live in rajasthan, it wont be more than 45 or 50 degree celsius which is way lower than engines operating temperature of 90 to 100 degree Celsius. Using higher weight engine oil like 10w or 15w in modern engines (read 2012 or newer) will seriously compromise their cold start protection as these engines are much more tightly put together. A 10w might work fine in an old Tata Indigo for example but it wont work in modern engines from honda or maruti k series. I repeat, engine tolerances is the 1st and foremost criteria. Ambient temperatures come 2nd

Great Video Amit Sir, I generally use HP MILCY SUPER 10W40 by HP Lubricants in my Maruti Ritz Diesel engine. Works great, gives superior engine cleanliness, easy starting even at lower temperatures, etc. recommends you to make a video on same.
