Күн бұрынThe Toyota 'B' engine is often considered to be a boat-anchor by those who have been behind the wheel of one. That said, to maintain the rugged and dependable persona that the 40 series Land-Cruiser is known for, Steve has elected to keep the trusty 3.0 litre naturally-aspirated diesel to maintain the originality of the shorty 40. This video is purely an account of how much work actually goes into assembling an engine from a bare block and is by no means a professional engine build.

Injection pump looks different to what I'm used to... In europe we got 4 in-line cylinder diesel pumps. Cheers

Is the liner you used is finish? Is it not prone to blowby?

Cheers mate, just ran the head gasket that came in the permaseal gasket pack, nothing special as it’s probably going to be kept N/A...

@@FULLBOAR No over heating problems with that gasket? I know some ppl are saying it may block off cooling ports.

Not sure as of yet. When I was assembling it, I didn’t notice any of the water jackets being blocked or partially blocked. However when the motor is back in the car I will definitely keep an eye on the temps. Cheers for the heads up.

Bought all me parts and bearings through Supercheap. But would be able to get em through any parts shop.
