It's slow and isn't always fascinating video, but it's still great to watch the fabrication. It's at least as much fun to watch you struggle like a mortal as it is to watch Covell make everything look way too easy. Welds without Ag look shitty now matter what you do, but this will help all your welding. Stop holding the MIG like it's trying to bite you. Use one hand on and below the trigger. Then lay the MIG torch over the forefinger of you other. Kind of like your shooting pool. Just enough to steady it. You might need a thicker glove than that to not get burned. (My white Tillman's don't have any insulation at least) Don't hold rest your finger under the last couple inches of the MIG torch and you hand shouldn't heat up a ton. keep it up, and WTF is the a one chip challenge box?

Sarah, when your MIG welding the longer straight passes, point the gun in the direction your welding. This will give you a better view and control of the puddle. It also provides a smoother weld since your able to see it flow to both sections. I watch all your videos and enjoy the humor and skills you have. I really like the fabrication and detail you put into any project. Thanks for all you do!

I love the Focus content. This generation was my favorite rally car. I remember Cosworth making a very small run of street legal versions of the rally car back in the early 2000's that cost a fortune. I know most people remember Colin in a Subaru, but I always remembered him in a Focus the most.

No matter what you’re doing, fabrication, body work, wiring, detailing, anything, whatever keeps the project going is well worth watching, so don’t forget that. You’re work is so detail oriented that it makes the process and final products such a joy to behold. That being said, when you got those plates tacked in place, it made the car look like a spider, or vampire. I think it could be run like that to great acclaim. And when you tell people you have a vampire Focus, they’ll want to know more. Keep up the awesomeness!

Hey Sarah, little tip for welding that I found worked: instead of going up and down trying to hit both walls evenly, start the puddle, move forward, then come back onto the freshly laid puddle. You get what's called stacking pennies (or dimes!) And if you get the timing just right, it produces a strong even weld. I used to seam weld road sweeper chassis in one of my old jobs, along with building them in the jig.
