The only thing this car will be in 15 years is it's on the bottom rack of the crusher. Few cars have as bad of a reputation then Nissan's current line of cars with they're homemade CVT transmission of death. Nissan is not the same company as it was before it was purchased by the French froggy car company Renault. Nissan's are always popping up towards the bottom of the list of the worst and most unreliable new cars to buy in any specific category.

Sarah I’m really waiting for your in depth review of the new Land Cruiser / GX. I would appreciate you really diving into it, and comparing it to the old LC200!

I am not cheap by any means, but these mid size truck prices are nuts. I got my fully loaded 2020 TRD off road 4x4 for 43k out the door. And even that was crazy, a similar trimmed 2024 is 57k!

Yeah, I am keeping my base Nissan fronty with 4.0L V-6. I-4 turbos do not belong in pickups, neither do infotainment lappy top screen distractions. And WAY too muchcrap that will break, even on a toyota.

I love the TRD option.... I don't like the prerunner. But the turn off of the TRD with leafs, plastic skid plate and drum brakes. That's not racing development at all. Now this truck is some what close to what I'd expect.... Except for the 4-cylinder 👎🏻

This is why we need to get rid of the chicken tax so we can have the Hilux back. If you're a new tradesperson, your options for cheap, small trucks are Ford? lol, no. Nissan? No. Or you go and pay the Toyota tax for a used Tacoma or Tundra. Yeah, they're reliable but a new, reliable small truck would be a boon to small businesses

As a 1st Gen Taco Owner, I think they got the styling right. I don't know about an open block 4 with a turbo, but whatever. NA all day over here!

Toyota fanboy here, besides the silly prices .. the Turbo 4 is a concern. I've built a few turbo cars for fun, and the reality is I cant see a turbo anything going 250 - 300K miles. Not to get all techy, but high heat cycles, cylinder pressures, etc. are not a recipe for longevity. I bought a Tacoma specifically for the old fashioned reliability. I will say I think If anyone can mass produce a reliable forced induction gas engine, its Toyota. But, sorry Toyota, gonna have to sideline this one and wait it out.

I owned a Tacoma, the last year of production of the compact truck, before Toyota, and everyone else, got clever and simply eliminated compact trucks once and for all-- at least for the US market. Although I'm a lifelong fan of Toyota and most Japanese things, I've resented the company ever since they did this. The truck was built perhaps twenty-five percent larger, and the price raised fifty percent. Many occupations are well-served by a small vehicle with a durable weather-proof cargo area in the rear, and room for just two people. Apparently, not any more. Toyota followed the trend-for-greed, building, as a base truck, an overblown, overequipped, overly-luxurious, overly people-pleasing.. truck. You cannot find or buy a work truck anywhere in the US today. You are not allowed. You are coerced into buying into a "trend", a cultural factor, a conformist expression, when all you actually needed was.. a truck.

It drives well empty with the 4 cylinder but imagine a tonne of firewood in the back or towing a car trailer! I think it would struggle! 4 cylinders belong in little Japanese sedans!

The very worst cars on the market which includes their POS AUDI! One VW product in a lifetime is one too many! Deactivation cylinders are a problem waiting to happen. Because of this deactivation mode, my neighbor has gone through two engines in his 2021 Chevy Silverado.
