Back then I loved going to Bulgaria...beautiful mountains, nice beaches, cheap prices, very friendly people...I planned a holiday but before leaving I called the Football Association for two tickets for a game in Sofia. I didn´t tell my "belle" that she was going to a game until we were in Bulgaria. The Czech team won the game 1:0. We were the only Czechs at the stadium as far as I could see. The local fans were kinda rude. They indicated they would slit our throats, they quite clearly made hand gestures towards the two of us. My girlfriend was SOOOOO scared after the game. Nothing happened, of course. The friendliest fans I met in Copenhagen. Btw, the World Cup final in Qatar was the best one I have ever seen. When I was a kid I LOVED the French team with Platini, Giresse, Tigana et Fernandez in the midfield. When Germany beat France in the 1986 semifinal I could not stop crying. The 1998 final I watched with a bunch of friends from France who lived in Prague at the time. We went to our favourite club and I was so happy for them. They had a night of their time. I have been a big Barcelona in my adult years, so I was cheering for Argentina and especially for Messi to win a World Cup. Salut a la France!

The first half we did in the final, that was awful. Upamecano was not the right choice for this final. England claimed the deserves to win every single tournament they played lol If you only have 1 trophy (at home soil) after more than a century, its not unlucky, you're simply not good enough. Many teams are better than England. Simply as that. If having better midfield possession means better, Spain technically should have won WC 2014, 2018 and 2022 aswell.

Just look at the attack: Kane (top goal scorer in the Bundesliga, 2nd all time PL goal scorer, arguably the best, most complete striker right now, possible ballon dor winner), Foden (treble winner, extremely talented young winger), Saka (another extremely talented young winger as you can see in this video), and Bellingham (top goal scorer in La Liga, arguably the best young talent, possible ballon dor winner). And that's leaving out players like Rashford, Grealish, Sterling Watkins, Maddison, and Solanke, who'd all easily get into most other national teams starting 11's. England also are the most stacked in the RB position (Walker, Trippier, White, James, Tavernier, Alexander-Arnold, Lewis can play there). Then you have great players like Rice, Stones, Shaw, Pickford, and Tomori in other positions.

In the second PK for france, mbappe skied that shot, it wasnt going anywhere near the goal, it could have hit montiel in the back, the leg, anywhere, but no... it hit him in the arm. @@Evanxbdlt Yeah I think Olivier Giroud was the difference in the end, obviously scoring the important goal. Would be another close game at the Euro's, and like you say I think England will learn from this game, and not let it happen again.

It wouldn't of been relying on penalties, if the fouls that caused the penalties never happened, whenever England was in an organic scoring opportunity some would flatten them and the ref would wave it off.
