Күн бұрынHey beautiful friends! During our honeymoon in Europe, we traveled to England. We spent a night in The Duke's Chamber in Thornbury Castle, located in Bristol. We walked in the steps of royalty in this 500 year old Tudor castle, turned hotel. Some previous guests include King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. We were definitely very lucky to be able to stay there! I love history, so this was a big highlight of the trip!

That is beautiful and so grand. What fun to be able to explore and sew all that history. Great choice for a honeymoon, nothing like Europe for a romantic getaway.

Wow, this is stunning Yvette!! I love the story of your room! What a remarkable honeymoon you had! You two are awesome...king Henry VIII stayed there too? What an experience seeing this property!!

He stayed there for a few days while on his honeymoon with Anne Boleyn! It was definitely very cool!

According to Thornbury's management, they stayed a few days in the Duke's Bedchamber. They even sell it as a special package deal. Their website says: "The Duke’s Chamber once played host to King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and overlooks the oldest Tudor Gardens in England." But they market it as a Tudor castle in general.

The built started in 1511 but being a military fortress for 400 troops the King decided to execute Stafford for treason in 1521 so as you say it’s unfinished.
