I lived in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire just up the road from the Kennet and Avon canal until 19 years ago when I moved to the US to live and work. I miss my daily walks along the canal towpath and your videos make me feel so good and just like I am back home again:~)

I just wanted to pop in and say thanks. I discovered your videos on Amazon during the pandemic lock-down and find them quite interesting and very relaxing. I like watching them at the end of a stressful day and find the chug-chug sound of that engine very soothing. They've been a great way to pass the time.

Add my name to those who would really like this...even if it was only 30 minutes long I could play it on "loop". I have moderately bad tinnitus and white noise really helps on bad days. Having it be Aslan at various speeds would be heavenly, I could close my eyes and imagine being in the English countryside traveling by canal....

Hi Kevin, Your story about the American and the ice cream is not dissimilar to a story my grandfather used to tell me. He was the Purser on the original Queen Mary. As you can imagine, there were always lots of American passengers on board. One large American lady went up to my grandfather and while in a storm asked my grandfather why the ship was rolling around so much. He looked up at her and said, madam, if you had as much booze in you as she's got in her, you'd be rolling around too! - There, cheers, Peter.

Thank you Chris, much appreciated and you're very kind. Yes, all 5 seasons and new ones will (eventually) be available on Prime. All of S1 is uploaded now, only hold up being that Amazon physically check each episode before making them available, so out of my hands I'm afraid. Currently working out at an episode a week. We love your quiet adventures on the canals. Your narration is perfect. When i need to de-stress i watch your videos. I tried to do the same thing as you here in Texas buying a sailboat 20 years ago but it didn't turn out as well. I'll tell you that story another time. Had a binge on Prime watching series 1. Excellent. My mates and myself used to head down to Aust Services a couple of times a month for coffee etc when we were youngsters. That was a few years ago. Lived pretty near to it.

Kevin, Glad to see you back on You Tube. Loved the stories, everyone seems to have an alcohol related one that is similar. Mine was Southern Comfort. Same thing, drank way too much in a short time period and paid the price. Never was able to stomach it again.

Husbands Bosworth tunnel - first big tunnel LOL Also my wife watches with subtitles on so when you change your accent - (post accent )it comes up on the subtitles - too funny. Working on Motorway Services = how to meet Britain quickly. On the griddle in Sandbach services, 80s , I once has a lorry (Truck) driver burst into tears when I served him his full English fried breakfast - I had broken the yolk on one of his two fried eggs. He literally melted and started sobbing. I fried him up two more perfect eggs and so he now had 3 and a half. I can recall that smile till today. Not sure what was going on in his life but obviously stressed. The hair that broke the camel's back.

I know what you mean Shawn. The urge to travels never goes away and only gets stronger by being stationary. I can only stay in one spot for a couple of weeks at the most, then have to move on.

I also discovered your videos on amazon prime. I had just finished watching them all when I thought I might look at your KZfaq channel. To my amazement you were travelling through Parbold and just about to enter Burscough where I live. We have a lovely little area on the canal in Burscough on the exit to the old Rufford branch called the top locks. There is an old pub called the ship which is locally know as the blood tub because of the history of barge workers getting drunk and fighting with each other every night. There is also the burscough warf which used to be the old waterways yard. Great work mate keep em coming.

I may be wrong but I thought the Ship Inn was called the Blood Tub, because you used to be able to get a pint of ale in exchange for a bucket of pigs blood, as they used to make Black Pudding there? Edit: Turns out there's 2 legends - both correct of course. ☺

I have started measuring my days in "longboat" time. I used to rush from place to place trying to accomplish stuff, but now I'm like "I need to take the laundry upstairs? That's two stops for a cuppa' and a one deep lock, so I should be able to get there by tomorrow."

Your second job wasn't at the St Pierre by any chance? I worked there....I went down in history for flooding the kitchen.I love your videos and really envy you the lifestyle that you have attained. I've watched all of the TBN on Amazon but was gutted when they suddenly stopped on Ep4 of season 5!

I had driving lessons and took my test in a chocolate brown Mini Clubman. My boyfriend had a red 1275 GT Clubman (maybe it was just decals though) and they did rust like billy-oh and I could watch the road going by through the bottom of the sill by my feet.
