I think 2022 is our year, first it came home for the U19s mens euros, then it came home for the womens euros, then it even came home for basketball for England. Hopefully this continues in the World Cup.

@@Eliaseli26 Every team has luck in every game. Some good luck , some bad luck :) Luck is when preparation meets opportunity . Serina Weigman has been preparing this team since October. You get prepared and when the other team make a mistake , by missing an open goal , or the defenders not marking properly , you take advantage of it. Is that luck, or just good preparation ? When the goalie kick the ball out , and it rebounded off Popp's legs into the goal , was that a bad kick , good hustling by Popp, or just luck? It could have rebounded out for a goal kick. When Russo back heeled it and scored, was it fast thinking , bad defending , or just luck? the keeper could have reacted faster and stopped it , then it would have been just a cheeky effort. You can wait for luck to come along , but if you are ready for it , then its funny how ' much ' luck you get :)

Some Germans just cannot except England were best team. It reminds me of when England played West Germany off the park in semi final of Italia 90 when I was a kid. The Game went to pens which England lost but the Even then Did not want to accept that England were very unlucky and should have got to the Final
