I’m originally from a less developed south Asian country and I lived in dubai for 10 years and just moved to the UK a couple of years ago, honestly the people here have been amazing. I’m the only Asian in my department at work and never do they ever make me feel I’m different. Apart from work, even in general people are really nice here. Will never let the odd racist change my views about the amazing English people. There’s plenty of them! We just got to open our eyes! Fun fact: went to play football with my “white colleagues” last week for the first time and was feeling so nervous. Football just isn’t our thing. As a black foreign student from the Netherlands, I studied in England for 5 years. I experienced mild racism growing up in Holland, till I moved to England. That's when I found out what real racism was. From ordinary English people, getting stopped and searched by the police for bogus reasons (never had an encounter with police till England). Believe me, the English are racist.

Fun fact. Had France lost to Croatia in the 2018 world cup final the exact same thing would have happened to the black French players.
