Hillary, I just subscribed to your channel after watching this video. I think we must be kindred spirits as we share so many family traditions. My husband's parents gave each child a new ornament for Christmas each year, not only growing up, but even as adults up until their death a few years ago. In turn, we have done the same for our children. When they became adults and moved away from home, they took their collection with them. It is such an endearing tradition and one that will always bring memories of joy from holidays past. ❤️

Amen! Your HOME i, as always is absolutely LOVELY! But more BEAUTIFUL is your faith, message and love of family and friends. Let us ALL remember, that despite the troubles in the world, Christ is the LIGHT and even when HE came into the world, bringing salvation and love there weree troubling times. His family had to flee to Egypt . The Holy reminds us to keep our eyes and ears atune to the Lord and he wil guide our steps.

Beautiful, looks like a Christmas magazine cover. Very traditional style which I have always gravitated towards and appreciate. I have never heard of putting baby Jesus on display with the rest of the nativity on Christmas morning, that is so sweet and makes perfect sense! My most anticipated Christmas home tour! I simply love everything, it looks so cozy and inviting! Our tree is a collection of ornaments from many years and many places we have visited, interspersed with pictures of our children and now our 1st grandchild. It brings back so many wonderful memories as we decorate it, I call it our memory tree! Merry Christmas to you and your family as we celebrate our Savior’s birth! 🎄🤍 ✝️

I love that- “a precious reminder of those dreams brought to life” I’ve done this with many baby outfits over the years and we’ve been blessed with 5 wonderful busy, fun, creative, and sweet kiddos. Your home as always is beautiful and comfy and welcoming. I’d love to move into an older home and follow a more Victorian aesthetic but we are in a very modern home for now.

When my two sons were about 10 and 12 yrs old I found two gorgeous handmade Christmas stockings at a flea market. We already had stockings, but I just couldn't leave them and thought, "I'll buy them for future daughters in law." Those stockings have been in use for 14 years now.

Like everyone I too was waiting for this! You are my favourite KZfaq to watch, you have helped shaped the way I think and see home making. (I was a stay at home mom when I started watching your videos maybe in 2013? Or later when Evey was a a baby, I then stopped cos I became a fulltime working mom however now I see that homemaking is for sahm and working moms. I Can’t describe at all in words- but God has helped me see my priority this season. I love it and your channel has been a great influence x

I have admired your little greenhouse and the lovely way you decorate it for a long time. This past spring I was in a thrift store and found the exact same greenhouse. I couldn’t believe it! I’ll be decorating it with my now antique ornaments that had belonged to my mother. Really like the simple, elegant way that you decorate your home. I have a small house also and like to say, “less house, more home”.

Oh how I pray The Lord will give me opportunity to have another home to nurture & grow our children here in the U.S. I feel like this really is part of the mothers role…to provide a warm & loving environment that remains with the children. I look forward to the day I can do this again. Meanwhile…I’m learning to be content with the letting go of all in Australia & in living in a proverbial ‘tent’. The Lord is in our midst, we have all we need 🙏🏼 Thank you for your warm & inspiring videos.

I love your home tour not overdone with delicate Christmas touches...it looks so Ralph Lauren, I love the plaid!! I sewed my own plaid flannel pillowcases for my den... Just went and bought several yards (it was so inexpensive) and made several diff colors and prints that went together, turned out beautiful I also made plaid stockings for my grandkids. Love your décor. it is definitely warm and cozy. My mom used to buy an amaryllis each Christmas season...Great job!

Hillary, thank you so much for such a lovely video. I actually went back and watched it for a second time! Your decor is beautiful as was your Christmas message. My kids are now grown with children of their own. When they were younger, we also did an ornament each year. Now it's fun to go to their houses and reminisce about each of them. We also kept Baby Jesus in a safe place until Christmas morning. They loved being the one to place Him in the manger. One other thing we followed up with was to have a special coffee cake at breakfast (baked by a lovely neighbor), and we always sang Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. Merry Christmas! 🎄
