Your work is amazing. What type of sewing machine do you use? I am having difficulty with mine & would like some ideas for options if that's ok?

I love sewing free motion, it is so much fun! I'm only wondering why you don't backstitch at the beginnings and ends? In the beginning of my free motion journey i didn't backstitch either, but every thread would come loose when i washed it, even on a gentle cycle. I want my fabric products to be washable as much as possible. What's your secret?
