English preposition is the language feature that I hate the most. You’re right that there’s no one small set of grammar rules telling you how to use the prepositions in all possible situations. You can only rely on hard memorisation, which is really lame.

I can explain. We use "on" with vehicles or boats on which we can walk, e.g. get on the ship, get on the plane, get on the bus, get on the train. And we use "in" with vehicles or boats that we can sit only, e.g. get in the car, get in the canoe, get in the fighter jet.

Hey Mark, canoe is one person it's mine not publish so İN my canoe even it's my it can't using for many people ... and ON cruise there will be or can be for more people, it's usually for public transportings so we say ON a cruise. For public is mostly using ON, lots of people can use the plane train boat, and İN for own transportings like care canoe van not many people can get in . Very good lesson of you thanks

I have heard from almost every English teacher that learn grammar if u want to learn English.. now I am good in/at it but speaking was always challenge for me.. I studied that if we use a puplic transport that carry alot of people like buses,ships,trains,planes, we use on ; but if we use our own car ,or taxies that carry a small number of people 1:4 ;we use in🤗

Hello teacher,you look quiet smart and intelligent.This question is being ignored by almost ever english teacher having a youtube channel but I feel like, you are the one who can help me out. Please answer this,How do we pronounce the words starting with "RE" in english because sometimes RE is pronunced as "REE" and sometimes it is pronounced as "RAY".My question is how to understand when should we be pronouncing the words starting with RE as REE/RAY.It's quiet confusing. E.g. I thought when it comes to repetition of events,it is pronounced as REE like Revision(visioning again),Review(viewing again),Recast(casting again) etc. But then this is wrong because the words like Respect,Report etc starting with RE are pronounced as REE even though they don't signify any repetition of events. I have observed RE is often pronounced as RAY as well like in the words like recreation,revenue etc,we pronounce RE as RAY. I want to understand the nuances behind it.Please make a video on this.
