Do you love basketball? Want to watch NBA games in English and talk about the game with your English-speaking friends? Watch this vocabulary lesson to learn about some of the basic words used in basketball, like hoop, backboard, shoot, lay-up, and slam dunk. I’ll also show you how some of these words are used in other, everyday situations as well. Have fun with sports and English. Hi Adam, My question is actually not related to this class. We, as Faculty members at the University of Maraş, Turkey, have discused the use of THE in a scientific research paper, and we have not come to a conclusion. Hope you help us for the following sentences. (P.S. Apple juice have already mentioned in the previous paragraph) 1. "The color, the taste, the odor, the acidity of the apple juice...." 2. "The chemical and the physical properties of the apple juice ..." 3. "..., with the exception of the apple juice." Repeating THE several times in a sentences sounds weird. So in these sentences, is it possible to reduce the number of THE? . If we can, which of them can be omitted? Can we write one THE in the beginning of the sentences and assume the rest is between the bracklets () We really appriciate your help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Adam's. Thanks for this video, It is very educational I learned a lot about Basketball. This video means a lot to me and I am going to tell you why, I live in Kansas City MO and my favorite College Basketball team is Kansas University and guess what? well they became the 2022 Champions.I do not know if you watched the game,they were down 16 points in the first half and came back and won. That was amazing. I watched the game on TV but I went to the Parade in Lawrence Kansas where the University is. I always watch your videos but this is very special because I am still under the shock of having a champion team.

such an enlightening class) i used to play basketball and even dreamed of a sports career, but after all, something went wrong and i've grown into an engineer😂 unfortunately, those days i had no idea what commentators were talking about when i was watching the original broadcasts of NBA games. and now just happy to learn that many things from basketball may be used in daily conversations. thanks Adam P.S. Adam, please, make a video lesson about this rule( I don't know how is it called). Example: please do obtain a sample. Why is "do"? Why not: please, obtain a sample? What the Verb " Do" is doing here? Is to obtain not enough? And I noticed it very often in English. Please, explain
