I have a problem with the M20. I got the bike yesterday, when I push the throttle all the way down and put it in mode 5, the bike only goes 5km/h, the regulator for the maximum speed in the setting cannot be raised, it is set to 25km/h and it is not possible to raise it higher, it simply does not work. I watched videos to hold the brake and gas, and only then to start the bike and after 20 seconds to release the brake and gas, but that doesn't work either. I wrote to the customer service at ENGWE, but their responses are very slow. Yesterday I got a response to go into the settings and raise the speed to max, I sent them a video that it just doesn't work. I'm still waiting for an answer. I was so looking forward to the M20 and in the end a huge disappointment. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Looks amazing and great fun. I don’t want to be a killjoy at all but I’d love to have seen you wear a helmet. It doesn’t take much to come off any bike and experience the most dreadful head injuries. Take care of yourself!

Hi. How do you unlock for more top speed. Mine is set to the highest in the settings 60kph but still doesn’t get near it. Is there any other adjustments I can make ?

In Denmark the law is that you can go 25km/h without pedaling but but from 25-45 you have to be pedaling. Would this mean that this bike is illegal or is there a setting for this configuration?

Yes you can have it on pedal assist all the way up to 45 km

I’ve been tempted to get this but the uk law just sucks … if caught u go to prison, a big fine, points on your driving license for no insurance, tax and mot and your bike gets crushed, this country is going down hill

That’s totally illegal to use on the public roads in the U.K. it would be required to have numberplates as anything that’s powered above 15.5mph, and that includes it having as you said a screw to remove the speed restriction . I spend considerable time with bike insurance companies around the rules and law, before we bought ours , if that’s involved in an accident in simple terms your fu……

You can make it leagle by adding 2 little stickers and when your order bike it comes with a certificate of legal state, I’m sure if you play your cards right I’m sure your be fine just don’t ride like a wolly and there leave you alone you would like to hope anyways
