Recording digitised using the following equipment:
Turntable: Technics SL-1200G
Cartridge: Audio Technica ART9
Amplifier: Devialet Expert Pro 440
Direct USB connection from the audio system into a MacBook Pro.
No audio manipulation whatsoever, this is straight from the vinyl and on to the finished video.

Yes, I remember Deep Forest, I don't think it's stood the test of time as well as Enigma's first album but you're right it was along a similar theme. Deep Forest is also expensive on vinyl now (I'd like to get a copy!)

Something about this music. Makes you drift into another dimension. It is truly something magical, the way it makes you feel inside, it's cosmical. Not to be fresh, but it's perfect for making love and getting freaky. It makes me turn into something else, I really don't know what it is, but it's beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ I loved enigma since I was in high school and continue loving it even more now. Given when this was made, I'll wager the original was digital. This period was when samplers (which are digital) and computer based audio workstations, though expensive, were widely available and you could make music with a semblance of high definition using Midi, samplers, digital drum machines and synthesizers.

I would love to hear this album on your AT33PTGII ! .. It would be interesting to compare the sound ..I think the AT33PTGII sounds softer, more musical, yet without any lack of details, compared to the ART9 ..

You should buy an antistatic gun for your records, and a cleaning kit .. you can find cheap ones that will do a great job .. lots of pops and clics here, but it still sounds great, wow ! I'm rediscovering this album, thanks ! I can't imagine how great this should sound with a great amp/pair of speakers !

Hi Lucien, I have a wet cleaning machine so don't really suffer with static or dirty records. This particular pressing is noisy as it's well used and wasn't well looked after (I actually got it in a charity shop a few years ago, I'd like a clean / silent copy but it's expensive nowadays!)

@@AudioPhil1 For me, this really sounds like a static issue .. static electricity appears on your records because you are using them on your turntable, I don't think that a cleaning kit/machine can fix this .. and this issue is even bigger with second hand / old records .. if you don't have something to get rid of it, you should get a gun, you would definitely hear the difference, and it's not that expensive ..

Стробоскоп идеально работает. Любо-дорого смотреть. На нашем Арктуре 006 не всегда так четко работало. Только антискатинг в 1 грамм немного смущает. Обычно везде полтора ставили.

I cannot describe the feeling. Only use the term Analogue(cassette tape)vs digital(compact discs). As this vinyl record version kinda like keep the original analogue version but with clearer quality. While the CD version kinda remastered feel which is also good in its own ways. Using the sadeness as a reference song. Which at that point of time their famous hit song. Do you have the "return to the innocence" song of engima?.

It's hard to find in good condition, came out right in the middle of the CD era so there are less vinyl copies around, and is a desirable LP to own. There is a modern repress of it which sounds almost as good!

Is it normal to hear that much crackling and popping or is this vinyl old? I do like the warm frequency response and smooth easy to listen sound but i dont known about all that cracking and popping. A little is fine but on this vinyl its a little excessive

No it's not, and if you listen to the cast majority of the rest of my rips you'll hear how noise free vinyl can be. This record is well worn, I have 3 original copies and they all suffer from the same well used / not looked after issues.

@@emalior5000 much closer - but it’s unlikely you are only listening at 128k - if you select 4k video the sound codec in use is really superb. It’s actually very close to real life. You can check the audio bit rate by looking at “stats for nerds” on KZfaq.

Stat's for nerds shows audio codec opus 251 for the 4k file. From what I can gather the bitrate for opus 251 is variable between 128kbps and 160kbps. The paid service youtube music has a maximum bitrate of 256kbps.
