Friends, it is a very traditional tasty and healthy dish. We usually call it as bele holige or bele vade (sweet in taste). It is prepared by using jackseeds. old/preserved jackseeds give good taste than fresh jackseeds. Peel all the skins, cook the jackseeds well and grind them with jaggery and grated coconut. For outer cover, we use rice batter in flowing consistency. make balls of the ground mixture, flatten them and dip in rice batter and finally cook them on the hot tava. The process looks somewhat tedious, but the taste will be awesome. Ghee becomes the best combination for it.

oil for greasing
