I cannot understand this, in angioplasty doctors are able to insert a mesh expanding an artery.. Why a similar to that procedure cannot be done to urethrae and allow for a larger opening?

I had the urolift 4 inplants and have not seen much improvement also. It was very painful to say the least. Dr. did not communicate at all the day of procedure. Not one word to me. It was the most painful procedure I have ever had in my life and I am 65 years old. Looking for new Dr. here in NC.

Other than asking a doctor and hoping for honesty, how can we find good Rezum practitioners...is there an index, some scorecard, anything?

Hello, I'll add this to our list of questions for our next round of filming. I don't know if you meant other than asking the urologist who would be performing the procedure, or a primary care physician, but if you meant the former, then asking a primary care physician might be an option since they are usually the ones to refer patients to specialists, and then they typically see those patients again. Another option might be to find a support group in the area of the practitioner you are interested in, and seeing if people there have experience with that doctor. Online reviews may be an options, but are usually only helpful if there are a lot of reviews.

What about Aquablation? Is there any promise for that procedure?

Beware of this procedure! I had a PAE procedure at Alate Health in Houston done by Dr. Doe over a year ago. It was a complete FAIL! No improvement to date (8/19/22) All I got out of that procedure was a lot of discomfort and an ambulance ride to the hospital with a blood clot in my very swollen leg! Spent 2 days in the hospital. Dr. John Henry Fischer fixed the blood clot

Next time I will not go to a Urologist! PAE on my friends hasn't needed a catheter, and preserved sex ability. It takes a about a week to get results. The pain in the thigh access site was short lived, and was slightly less annoying than a stint placement.

Forget about the Rezum proceedure, that DOESN'T WORK .....In two to three years your back to square one. And don't get this procedure if you live far from an emergency room that's not open at night.
