Shame that modern Fantasy movies cant Catch the Spirit of These 80's Fantasy movies like Conan, Red Sonja, Krull ect. For me These Films are the real Fantasy movies and that what defines the Genre for me

I loved this film as a child. My favorite scene was the sword selection scene. I wished that I would also get to choose a sword one day like Sonja. I hope they make a good remake.

I was watching this film with my mum when I was a kid, and after a while of Sonja and Kalidor fencing it out she was like "Imagine if one of them suddenly cut the other's arm or leg off just by accident. Then what??" 😂

It's a great film she reminds me of my wannabe wish I done more gymnastics not just fliilping over my swing it was my Dad who showed me this movie though I love him took me swmming and I can dive good I want to take my daughter somewhere v soon it's nice the red Sonia is inspiration xxc

Fun fact, Conan's girlfriend Valeria played the bad guy In Red Sonja. Arnold got em both :) sandahl Bergman, she could swing a sword

@@alexl7213 I think Conan was supposed to be in it but there was a legal problem. I always went with the head cannon that some do and say Kalidor was just an alias Conan was traveling under during this adventure.

I sold a number of Conan the Barbarian comics alone with red Sonia's as well. Also some old TARZAN'S TOO. Figured no one would appreciate them when I'm gone.

I moved my mom out of her house a while back. We had a short time to do it, so alot of stuff was just thrown out without sorting much of it. I knew the comics would end up in the trash, easy choice.

It was always a joy watching this fantasy adventure movie as a child on the TV. The duel for her heart was my favorite. Both ended up tired on the ground. Red Sonja was already a smart and strong female character, before today's fake forced political correct female protagonists. Sadly if they remake it, and it gets in the hand of those type of people, it will end up as a mess...

レンタルで借りて観ました。ロッキー2だったか、昔ソ連で今はロシアのボクサー役のドルフ・ラングレンのマネージャー役で、レッドソニアで主役でしたね。この前後にスタローンの奥様になったりした、元モデルさん。レッドソニアてむこうでは漫画なんですよね。演技は散々だった映画と聞きましたが、私はシュワちゃんが観たかったので観ました。そんなに下手とは思わなかったです😃

Another actor tidbit is that Lord Brytag (the gatekeeper) was played by Pat Roach, who also played the wizard Toth Amon in Conan the Destroyer. His filmography is a fascinating read.

Watched it the other night. It's still as bad as I remember when it first came out and only worth watching for Morricone's great music. Nice of Pat Roach to put in an appearance, but his voice / accent was totally unconvincing. I found the decapitations hilarious - Hammer horror did much better 15 years earlier!
