I remember playing this as a child. You're a merc working with eco-terrorists attempting to stop a corporation from mining out the planet's spirit and inadvertently getting caught up in a battle to stop a far more dangerous and ancient evil from awakening. Man this was a good game. This remake really puts me in a good place, thanks.

Not to mention the music works so well with the situations. Imo ff7 is the epitome of rpg and is one of the best games that still holds up to the likes of ps4 titles

Even until now, I remember when I first played this game and I was like having chills and thinking the opening sequence was like a movie that I kept on waiting for cloud to move. Now, almost 20 years later, we're gonna experience the same thing again, only this time on a much higher level! It's like we'll finally experience what midgar really looks like

Legit gonna cry tears of joy when the Remake lands and we see the beautiful pan out of Midgar opening sequence with the Remake Opening Theme with the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" logo shows up.

This will ALWAYS be the most hype opening to a game to me. The beautiful build up of the strings and horns along with the opening cinematic of the train entering Midgar. Then Avalanche ambushing the guards finally signaling Cloud down which he graceful enters the scene, gracefully flipping from the train. I can't wait until this game is released...I'm just hoping it lives up to the hype and does justice to the original game.

I remember being in a game store in the 90s, and on the TV they had the demo of FF7 playing on a loop, which was the bombing mission and this music playing over and over and I LOVED it then and I love it now.

me, but i am not too hyped after the disaster that is XV. i pray to god every day that it will be good but until it comes out i have zero hope and it will stay that way. already been let down twice with XIII and XV and i just have no faith in squeenix anymore..

@@Talinthis, I'm totally with you on that one. Since it's a remake though then at least we know the music, the plot, and characters will be good(I mean, how badly can you butcher something that you're just imitating, right?). Even if it doesn't live up to expectations, at the very least it should be decent. That's what we're hoping for anyway. From the trailer, seems like the characters are at least looking great. That's a start.

GOD, this owns. I really like this one, yes, even with the REMAKE in mind, this has a sort of "Royal-Guard-Charge" treatment to it that totally, totally works. The extension of certain notes and the percussion drums hit with "this is it" levels of momentum, which is in this version compared to the REMAKE's remix, you can feel the urgency in this. That's Awesome. Good work.
