Enshrouded | I was wrong about the Rake!

In my Video about terrain manipulation, I kinda bashed the Rake for being pointless - But I have seen the light!
In this video, I share you how great this tool is, What terrain materials there are and where you can find them and share a technique which most likely could be considered an Exploit.

Down hill does not work because of the Angle you can set it... So you always have to start from the bottom when doing sloped terrain.

Start a new character - Craft the rake there. Then move the rake to a chest in the original world. Once your original character picks up the rake.. it will be unlocked as recipe. 👍

What I did was create a new character. Then I entered the new character into my world where my main character was. I made level two with my new character just doing the intro quest on the way to my first base at the starting point. There I used the work bench to craft two basic rakes. I put one in a chest for my main character and kept the second on my new character and logged off. Finally I logged into my main character, retrieved the basic rake from the chest and then took it to the blacksmith where he upgraded the rake for me.

@@Graybeard_ My game is bugged the rake is gone, I created a new character to see if I can get it, and the srappy rake is at the blacksmith but just the simple rake option is gone.

@@xdarthpool6463 Bummer! Well it is early access. This is a pretty serious bug, so my guess is it will get patched asap. There was a patch today. I'm surprised it didn't make it in.

@@The-B-SideI appreciate the response and the guidance, but that shouldn't be required. EA or not, this is pretty big dev oversite that's reflected in-game in a number of other ways. I love the game, but it's 100% EA and not ready for primetime. But I'm gonna go get my rake now, so thanks :)

Who is this Beeblebum imposter? I think its an AI maybe.... Is this a second channel or did you change the name of your old channel? Its showing me as not subscribed :( and i was one of your first hundred subs on NMS, 60-something iirc Anyway im subbing again, or for the first time, depending on if this is a new channel or not Im currently trying to fix my rake bug, the "fix" that many suggest isnt working, then i saw your video

@@The-B-Side So many subs on both channels I bet youre glad you took the plunge of going "pro" now Anyway its great to see someone doing so well, you deserve it I shall try and watch more of both channels Ive been mostly ARK-ing and Guild Wars 2, er -ing for the last few years, so i obviously watched a lot of content for those, lost touch with NMS and so on a bit Im loving Enshrouded, so much potential with the build system, and great gameplay too

I never found the level 1 rake receipe... I have the level 2 receipe .... tried with a new char, a new world, both togather, nothing... what I did wrong ?

There is a bug currently that once you pass level 5 - the initial rake recipe disappears... So you can not make it anymore. As far as I remember, If you start a new character + world, you need to complete the initial tutorial until you build the workbench. That should give you the rake (you of course need wood, stone and string in your Inventory). The best way is for a friend to join your game and give the 1st rake to you.. that will unlock the blueprint.

You can mine it, or use the building hammer and remove it to save stamina/time/repairing

Just make sure you’re using the terrain to remove terrain, the other choices won’t work to remove the terrain when right clicking

Using the terrain to remove terrain will however give you less resources in return, compared with mining. I prefer Mining if I need resources - Especially once you unlock the mining skills.
