You need a credit card because of a few reasons. 1. It contains all your information so we know who you are. 2. Its a fail safe in case you decide to screw them and people screw them constantly.

I've had this conversation so many times with a customer! 1st it's not a credit card 2nd you're electric bill says you're $800 behind (that's not an exaggeration) and 3rd I wouldnt rent anything above an intermediate to you because your risk level is thru the roof. If I did let you rent, I'd be banging on your crack house door a week from now trying to repo the trashed aveo you're letting your boyfriend's drug selling uncle drive.

Disturbingly Accurate

I sell cars for a living so I was very excited when I was given the opportunity to (possibly) work for enterprise as a career change. I work at a decent size luxury car dealer so I had no idea what to expect for the "shawdow" at enterprise. The place was located in a strip mall;absolutely filthy. The entire location was about the size of my family room. The branch manager interviewed me while standing up and not giving me his full attention. I was handed off to the area manager who would confront me when he felt I didn't answer questions properly and seemed to be more concerned with attending happy hour afterwards. I can honestly say it was one of the worst interview experiences of my life. I will never go back.

Went through this same thing today at enterprise. I'm a salesman for AutoNation and understand the customer service business. I reserved a FULL SIZE SEDAN a few days ago and went to go pick it up today. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before I was told that the only thing available was a Mini Cooper and a 15 Passenger Van. I was then asked if a Nissan Versa would work. I don't know how enterprise employees are trained, but when I pay $400 for a FULL SIZE SEDAN, I want a FULL SIZE SEDAN.

I just had a terrible experience at Pau france Airport with enterprise, I read many bad reports about Eurocar there (who I normally rent from when in the EU; I had a damage waiver, but they kept going over the car, looking for something to get it up to its max value, then told me they would send a refund of what was left of my deposit if they found nothing else after I left. WTF? how is that legal, to find things after I have returned the car and left the country???

I rented cars 2 times now with a debit card. They totally take that shit at Enterprise.

I feel your pain. I picked up a customer just before we closed. It was dark and during a rain storm looking for a house when it turned out to be a pet hospital. The woman Begs me to take her to get her GPS 5 mins away. I get back to the branch 35 mins after we closed. It turned out her licience expired on her birthday the week before. Someone else got stuck taking her home the other end of town.

This might have been the funniest thing I've ever heard. Each and every friday this happens.
