Thanks for the video, been working for acouple weeks part time at Enterprise and wanted to see how others clean. Very helpful. I have a little more equipment for vacuuming and cleaning outside of car. One thing i have to do is clear out the phones that were attached and each car is different for that. I hope to get a rythem but for now i have not done too many in 15 min. Taking mecloser to a half hour but on a vacation spot and cars coming back a little dirtier and with more sand. I may change what i do now as i have been vacuuming first, the dirty floor really gets your attention but makes more srnse to work top down. Thanks for taking the time to do this

Wow that looks so relaxing compared to my branch in Norfolk Virginia. On an average day (especially during the summer months) we’ll get about 600-700 dirty cars to clean. We have zero shade and work in the blazing hot sun over asphalt all summer long and pouring down rain and everything. It’s insanely stressful and the managers honestly bully employees and threaten to fire anyone who doesn’t clean a minimum of 25 cars per day while maintaining a audit score of at least 95% or higher. Equipment frequently breaks, most cars are covered with trash inside that customers left behind, the workplace culture is toxic and oppressive with zero room for advancement all while we’re underpaid and treated like slaves. It’s very cutthroat and unethical. I really need to either transfer to a new branch or just find something else.

Not all locations are the same for sure! Hopefully you'll find a better location to work. I've seen some pretty decent ones and vice-versa

Hey bro I got a question for you. Rented my first car yesterday at Enterprise through the at fault insurance and got a newer Altima. Did the walk around with the agent and all was good. However there is a very loud,, obvious growling noise coming from the front tires when the car accelerates. Kinda sounds like a bad bearing.. I pulled over down the street and documented it and recorded it to prove it wasn't me. I guess my question is, can I be held liable for this if it wasn't on the pre check inspection? It very well could if been already reported but I'm not sure. Should I call them in the morning and mention this?

You’ll get the hang of it don’t worry! Those are called door jambs, you can give them a quick wipe down at the end if you want!

i start at 6am-3pm on thursday. is this job something you can do long term? any advice on my first day/week? thanks bro

@Modern_Nostalgia Жыл бұрын
congrats! my advice is to get into your own groove. everyone does things slightly different from each other. wear a mask when cleaning so you're not inhaling cleaning solution. as for long term absolutely. you can start on the bottom and work your way up, you can even transfer to pretty much anywhere once you put in a few months. they pay decent and you'll probably get offered full time if you start part time. They always need people

What kind of spray do you use for the scent In the car?
@Modern_Nostalgia
@Modern_Nostalgia 2 жыл бұрын
back when i worked at enterprise, we used ECOLAB peroxide mutli surface cleaner and disinfectant RTU (cirtus scent). We used it for everything from surfaces to windows. I loved the smell of it

@@Modern_Nostalgia okay I was wondering what it was I kinda want to get some for my car. Did you have to dilute it?
@Modern_Nostalgia
@Modern_Nostalgia 2 жыл бұрын
@@kevinbradwell659 it used to come in a case of pre filled spray bottles but now I think most companies received keg sized containers that they fill up empty spray bottles that come separately. I think they made the change to save on plastic bottle waste

Some supervisors will monitor your progress to make sure that the cars are sanitized quickly as they're in high demand. I think on average, 5 to 10 min on the average rental

This job sucks, man. Been doing it for over a year and a half. This week was particularly bad with some Spring break returns and lots of mud in the wheel wells. Definitely do not recommend this job to anyone wondering about it. I come home sore and exhausted every night. And the cars/trucks never end.

It can be exhausting for sure, even overwhelming at times. Don't let it discourage you, some locations are more chaotic than others. The ones here in Maine are busy but more organized from my experience

@@Modern_Nostalgia you've never driven in the parking and gone over the curb to not pay? I used to do that- they dropped rocks around 05 maybe 06- so you couldn't dirt road out. That's how I remember the airport... Next time you're there, bet you know what an old Humdum is talking about. Cheers!
