Esheemah Basila I’m 13, so I don’t have any money to donate. I don’t have a paypal or credit card so I can’t. My parents probably already have. But please don’t assume that if you chose to not donate that you are racist or don’t care. Some dont have the money to donate, or other reasons. If you CAN then donate. My parents have donated to the church, which then goes to to the donations for African Americans. I also can’t sign a petition because I don’t have social media and I’m not allowed to give away any personal info, like my last name of zip code. I also cannot protest on the streets like most are. Luckily, where I live there hasn’t been riots or any stores being robbed, or any racial discrimination. So there’s no protests because where I live there’s nothing TO protest, so I cannot join a crowd and protest. (Virtually I can, but not physically because there’s no physical crowds. Plus it would be dangerous considering I’m still a child. Considering what the police did to George Floyd, I definelty might not be safe.) But it’s is true what I said. I will donate but I’m not sure the other things are possible.

ITS so crazy how black panther the movie that has nothing to do with reality and was way more popular and this movie wasn't even that popular even tho it had such a more powerful message and black image that need to be seen and yes i do understand the meaning of both movies and the symbols im saying this goes deeper also no i am actually not white so for u guys that think im uneducated white girl it not true im black and yes black panther was a superhero movie thats great but what we nees rn in this generation is reality and its sad that this movie is apart of a black reality we were born into something that makes us stronger and that will have some test along the way
@jiorji5057
@jiorji5057 5 жыл бұрын
Blue_ Warrier the black panther had very much to do with reality. But it was also based on a “what would have been” reality had we not been stolen from our land and then had both lands stolen from us. That was what black panther was about. It spoke very much about real life problems. Just most people that aren’t black didn’t notice those issues because they- in their minds- also went with the imaginary as opposed to the reality. Because a lot of non black people don’t believe these issues to be real issues.

I get what your saying about obeying the police but that was just an example normally people don't get a hairbrush and get shot, but still it happens in our every day life and I think you need to focus on the bigger picture... this happens way to often and it really needs to stop

I don’t know if anyone’s here 2020 but this movie is so much more powerful because of George Floyd. It’s sad nothing has changed.

As a person of color, I find this very inspiring and I think that it is honestly time to move on from racism. No matter what ethnicity you are, it is not right to murder someone because of their race

This movie hits home too well. I am currently in the same place mentally as Starr. It's tiring and overwhelmingly infuriating at the same time. I just want things to change now and to not have to deal with anymore racism. I've had E.N.O.U.G.H. Equality is Nonexistent when Overrun and Under Guided Hate "Generalization isn't statistic. It's a morphed perception based on exposure and misreading stats and their conclusions"

Tsakani- Starr’s younger bro in this movie is given a South African indigenous language named Tsonga ❤️❤️ so proud to be South African right now 😍 and his name actually means “be happy”

I’m Mexican but I find this so relatable cause my family gets looked at sideways because my mom and brother have light skin and my dad and I are brown skinned , our neighbors constantly try to call the cops on us over non-sense and I relate with star about having to be a different version of yourself so that no one can tell you that you’re ghetto.
