So, his ENTIRE family is telling him to drop the lawsuit against his sister because he's "taking it too far." Where were all of the family members when the sister was PURPOSELY TELLING LIES, DEFAMING HIM, AND ATTEMPTING TO GET HIM FIRED? Did they ever sit her down and tell her to "Stop" because she is "taking it way too far?" DO NOT DROP THAT LAWSUIT!!

The mother and sister in the first story are so incredibly infuriating to me!! Not only did they not listen to scientific facts and betrayed their own family member to support a random ex; they also had the audacity to try to frame their points of views as a feminist cause, when feminism has nothing to do with the bs they were trying to pull. 😤
@houski4242564

Yeah I agree with you. To me these women are same ones who want to be gold digger but use feminism to defend themselves. These two are not feminists. They are cheaters who want money from everyone around them. I bet that the sister is not his sister but his half sister and his father doesn’t know that. That is why they defend his ex because they are afraid of what will happen to them if they got exposed.

I had to get a permanent restraining order in dealing with an ex. Cost me over 30K in legal fees, 3 months of living hell and a court date which when I saw the lawyer I hired rip her to shreds, and the judge siding with us, that 30k was well spent. Everytime she delayed or missed court for me (my attorneys) to re-submit paperwork to the courts cost like $1000 every time out of my money. Worth it to see her be found guilty because it was a former spouse, she was found guilty of domestic violence charges, in my state parties found guilty have to reimburse (depending on income) legal fees of those prosecuting the case (me). When a mother fights having a DNA test on a child, that always makes me think she knows full well the child might not be/is not the "father's" child. Surely any mother who genuinely believes her child is the child of the "father" they are claiming against would be happy to agree to a DNA test? As for the sister and mommy dearest, they need to give their head a wobble - why on earth should he have to pay a cent to an ex towards another man's child?
@LLandS18
@LLandS18 2 ай бұрын
This story's insane. There's a DNA test. It's not his kid. He's not responsible. In fact, I'd say even if they had a wonderful relationship broke up and and just broke up because you know sometimes things don't work. He still wouldn't be obligated to pay for that child because it's not his. Also his mother and sister are delusional. And I have to agree with a lot of other commoners that maybe the sister isn't the father's biological child and the sister knows that. At least it would make this behavior makes sense. Okay now that I got that cleared up out of the way If You need a DNA test of your child which I think is 100% your right. Then you need to be open and honest with your partner from the beginning of the relationship. And by beginning I mean like the first couple of days. Preferably before you even sleep together. Then the woman has all the information and she has the right to decide when emotions aren't high and a lot of time commitment, energy and emotion has been dedicated to the relationship if that's something she's okay with. Plus, bringing it up beforehand doesn't make it seem like you're accusing her of cheating. But when a woman is at her most vulnerable that that most women will ever be in their entire life. Which is pregnant or recently postpartum. To drop it like a bomb on your partner that you have no evidence of cheating is isn't fair It isn't kind. Quite honestly. It's not the asking for a DNA test. That's the problem. It's when you do it. Because if you're going to wait till someone's at their most vulnerable to drop a bomb on them like that, You need to understand that how that person reacts to that accusation or that request is valid. You have the right to ask 100%. But that person has the right to react to that Any way they choose to. Because instead of being honest and open at the beginning of the relationship, you wait until your partners in a vulnerable state. That's the thing I find unforgivable. Also, if you really wanted a DNA test and you didn't want to destroy your partner, you just take the DNA test and secret and have it sent to a friend of who knows how to keep their mugshot. The fact that you confront your partner with this when she's at our most vulnerable tells me they have an ulterior motive. Adults know you don't need the mother's permission to take a swab of spit. Quite honestly it boils down to put on your big boy pants. Be honest and open at the beginning of the relationship when emotions, vulnerability and a child are not involved. And if you change your mind at any time in the relationship that all of a sudden you're going to need one. You need to be open about that immediately, not when she's pregnant, not when she's postpart. Cuz like I said, if you have those feelings, don't drop it on a bomb. Don't destroy your entire life like an idiot. Just do it in secret and then if it turns out you're not the father confront her. And if you are then keep your mouth shut.

A DNA test should be required before parents take their kids home from the hospital. First of all because Hospitals sometimes hand the wrong kid over to the incorrect parents, and the second reason is paternity fraud. The husband's name shouldn't be put on the birth certificate without a DNA test having made sure he is the father.

I had a friend and we had been friends from the time we were in diapers until we were 15. We hit our sophomore year in high school and this “friend” fell in with a different crowd. I became the butt of their bullying, to the point that I had to start choosing between physical injury or fighting back. I chose to fight back… literally. I got suspended from school for the fight. Instead of getting in trouble, when my mom brought me home that day, I found that my mom had removed every shred of evidence that this young girl ever existed in our lives. No pictures, no clothing that she left behind, even her bike that she left at our house had mysteriously disappeared. When I asked my mom where my “friends” stuff had gone she simply replied “who?” And walked away. In less than three hours she has wiped this girl from our home and our lives. This was her way of teaching me that standing up for myself would never get me in trouble. I spent my three day suspension baking with my mom. The “friend” moved away that next summer and I never saw her again. I always wondered if my mom had something to do with that too 😂 😂 That is how a parent should react when it comes to standing behind their children. Period.

I saw this story some time ago. There was another update, though I can't vouch for it's authenticity (sometimes redditors will create fictitious endings/updates on other people's posts when they become popular, so I have my suspicions). If that update is to be believed, the Sister and the Ex were in an undisclosed lesbian partnership, living together, so the sister stood to gain financially from the paternity fraud as well. That post may have been fake, or it may have been taken down on the advice of OP's lawyer, or taken down in advance of criminal charges being filed against the ex and the sister. The post did imply that there was evidence of willful fraud on their part, which his mother knew about. Her efforts to de-escalate and resolve it within the family were to keep OP's sister from being implicated by evidence that would have turned up in discovery. She wasn't so much taking her daughter's side as much as trying to shield her from consequences after she got in over her head. No resolution was posted after that, only that he had decided to go no-contact with his mother, but his father and brother still supported him, albeit it with added tension because of his estrangement from his mother. That makes a little more sense in that it explains the mother's actions and the sister's motives (though by no means excusing either of them). But I am skeptical of the authenticity of that post. It's rare these situations get wrapped up so neatly in real life, lol. As you know, in family law, it's a mess at the beginning, a mess during the proceedings, and it's a mess at the end. Rarely does any of it ever make sense and there are no happy endings, just legal costs and butt-hurt all around, lol.

The sister was there, mom locked the door, trying to get OP to forgive his sister. Everything blew up and the sister threw a plate at OP's head. She called the police saying that OP attacked her. Police showed up, got everyone's statements, and arrested the sister. OP cut off contact with sister and mom, went forward with the lawsuit against sister (not the abusive ex), and OP's dad is now going through the process of divorcing the mom. Mom is being hysterical about the whole thing, but the entire family, including her family, turned their backs on her. Overall, a happy ending 😂😂

I never got the child support from my 1st husband, but I never went after it, either. My ex murdered my father and probably another unknown victim, and before that he kidnapped our baby and was in hiding for a year. My son suffered severe abuse, and 10 of his 12 years of school were spent in special ed because of his PTSD and high anxiety. He earned his way into "normal" classes his Jr. and Sr. years, but still has mental disorders at age 31. My ex was not convicted of murder, not even indicted because the police botched the case and lost the most important evidence. He went to prison for 4 years for a different felony (credit card fraud). During that time, I moved my son and me 1500 miles from the only place I've ever known, I legally changed my name, and cut ties forever with some family and friends whom I couldn't trust 100%. I didn't go after the child support I was awarded because staying alive and hidden from a homicidal maniac was more important.

My ex demanded I pay him alimony and child support because I was the sole provider and he refused to work for the length of our marriage, was drunk and high, and cheating. He also beat me so badly (in front of our young children), I needed 2 surgeries and 4.5 years of rehabilitation therapy to try to repair the damage to my hip. Ironically, he demanded the alimony and child support, Even though I had both our children 100% custody and was pregnant with our unborn child!!! He also kept making our bank account negative so I had trouble paying my mortgage and bills… he then complained that I closed our joint account and got my own private account. So unbelievable!!! He got nothing, but it cost me over $100k in attorneys fees and 2 years of court to keep my babies safe from him. He has solely supervised visits but hasn’t bothered setting them up and it’s almost been a year.

The fact that the mother RAISED her son, and refused to believe him over a woman she only knew through her son and never saw beyond that, is so horrible. This was her child, and she essentially threw him aside for the lies of someone she didn't actually know. I'm so angry. And that's not even getting into the bs with the sister, who's her own brand of psycho. The ex should've thought about the consequences of her actions before starting them, and what she would've done if someone had done the same to her own son. OP was abused by his ex, and then by his ex again and his sister and mom hopped on the abuse train, just in different genres. And not a single one ever apologized or ever took responsibility. The only ones who tore apart their family were the sister and mom. I hope the mom enjoys her life with her only child left, because she chose her rotten rope to hold onto.

DNA doesn’t lie? Except… there are cases where it does! One I recall was a mother needed to get a maternity test for her five kids. The reason why was not included on legal grounds. But even though she remembered giving birth, had photos of holding the newborns in all the hospital glory of birth… the test came back as a “no. You aren’t the biological mother.” Here’s why: she was a medical chimera. In utero, she had absorbed her twin. The only part left of the twin… became the uterus and ovaries! Or another one… a young woman had absorbed her twin. But then gave birth to her sister twenty years later!
@karmagal78

@@icarusbinns3156 that is known as an anomaly. They are rare. Identical twins take investigation. Also, when it comes to fraternal twins, both need to be tested as, if the mother has been with a few men in the window of conception, the twins could have different fathers. But, it is rare for a mother to need to take a maternity test. More common for a man. You watch any paternity trial, the judges will often quote an old saying “mama’s baby, daddy’s maybe.” Here’s an interesting twist, though. The baby could have been switched at birth. That has happened so frequently in the past.

So I was doing this without a lawyer and he had his guy with him, and then the ex said "I don't care where they stay I want custody of them"! His lawyer looked like he wanted to drop kick him across an entire football field, the mediator gave me a kind smile and fireworks of happiness were going through me. The only reason that he had fought so hard for custody, NOT because I was a bad mother or he wanted to be this great father, but he wanted the child support I would have to pay. Everyone in the room, except for him apparently, knew that is what he was actually saying." I don't care if she takes the to Mars to live with her, she still has to pay me money!!!!" I think it differs between cultures. I‘m pretty sure I heard once, that the fiancé is entitled to the engagement ring (IF gifted) when the engagement is ended. But maybe that’s only, when it is ended by the man?

If Buddy breaks it off, she keeps the ring. If Dolly breaks it off, she returns the ring. Better yet, DeBeers says buy an engagement ring, it is not a required part of wedding customs; it was invented in the 1930s.

One of my friends had that happened he lived with her for years. The kid was practically his, but wasn’t he paid child support where the kid was 1617 after they had split when he was 18 she demanded more money and the court was like no your kids an adult there’s no more child support needed. Turns that none of that money made it to the kid she took it all and wasted it on drug money

That is so sad. I was a single mom for 15 years, and every cent went to my kids. Clothes, school stuff, going on outings, making it so she can be involved in extra curricular activities… like, only a Shit person steals from children. And the absolute shittiest, steals from their own kids.

@CCZZ.B I'm sorry about what happened to your friend! @@erikarussell1142 I'm sorry about what happened to you! My mom was a single mother with 4 kids (the youngest not even born at the time of the divorce) and still made sure that I was cared for and had a good relationship with my father (who is a good person). She is remarried now but she cared for young kids alone for about 6 years until she did (with a little help from her parents, my grandparents). All the money she made was used to take care of her kids. She's a great mom. I'm still young but even I understand that what first OP's ex was doing was crazy.

People who pay child support for kids that are not theirs should be paid back. It’s very unfair to the man that doesn’t know where the woman’s coochie has been.

@@KaritaGR100% agree. Also @erikarussell I put money into my sisters bank account a couple of years ago for her four kids for Christmas. I live on a disability so I could only afford $30 each but she didn’t give it to them, she kept it. They may be adults but it was still for them. I will never ever put money into her account again because I now know she is a thief and one that’s quite happy to take from her kids. I have actually gone no contact (except on Snapchat because I can’t be completely horrible because she’s still my sister. I just don’t have any respect for for anymore after other stuff she pulled this year) and I’m happier for it.

I already read the first aita story, and it WAS BATSHIT CRAZYYYY. I hate this narrative on reddit aita post of forcing men or anyone else to be parents to kids that aren't theirs, it's the" but you have a moral obligation" or "that's what a real man would do". If the sister is sooo concerned, then she should help, ohhh wait it isn't her responsibility. Honeyyy I want to see that checkbook popping.

Here in the US, you never want to start paying for a child that is not yours because once you start paying for them the court will take that as acknowledgement or acceptance of it being your child! Not only that, you should never sign the birth certificate if you're not 100% sure that the child is yours and here's why. Once you sign the birth certificate you are financially responsible for that child, even if it's proven later on that you are not the father!

That fits story sounded outrageous. Then you mentioned the Posada and it makes sense. I think they may be Mexican. And yes, I could totally see it then. My parents are Mexican. They tried to make my boyfriend marry me when I was 17 bc they thought he to my v card. If a guy ever touches a woman and she has a baby, he’s responsible for it even if it’s not his. I don’t agree but that’s how they see things

The posada thing also gave me the impression since that's one of my favorite traditions from Mexico growing up, I know family is a big thing for us but that story was so messed up and if I was in his shoes I might have trust issues after and cut contact with the sister.

It doesn't surprise me that the parents took the ex's side over their own child. My parents did the same with me. I had an abusive ex boyfriend who had been stalking me, spreading rumors, etc but because he was a Marine, he was a golden boy in my parents eyes. I had to cut my family out of my life for about a year or so because of it. Id come home from work and he'd be in my living room, joking with my family. Unfortunately, my dad/brother are still friends with him on FB and I know he will always be a golden boy because of his service history. 😮‍💨

As someone who always wished for a brother but still loves my male cousins just as much as if they were my brothers, I find the first story crazy. If someone woman ever tries to threaten the men in my life like the first OP's ex treated him, forget womanhood so long as my loved ones aren't in the wrong that woman is DEAD!!! How the sister was ever able to behave like that and take the enemy's side (yes, I think the ex is an enemy ) baffles me🤯.
