First story. When The mum said to her son "not everyone knows how to share" I would have turned to her son and said "sorry buddy, not everyone knows how to parent maybe she will bring you something to keep you entertained next time 😊" and then ignore her for the rest of the flight

For the first story It's great that the other passengers stood up with the OP since If that was me I would have yelled and thrown 3 bucks at the Karen and says next time buy a Cheap ass Coloring Book and Crayons at the Airport Bookstore and leave other person's belongings as if she's entitled to it.

Story 1 is the main reason why I always bring along my noise-cancelling headphones so that I don't have to hear screaming and crying children

Story 2: The boyfriend in this situation should have at the very least cleaned up a little bit more than he did. There is a bare minimum standard of cleanliness and preparedness that one should meet when going out to meet other individuals, especially those that are supposed to be romantic partners I think.

You read the story, but did you listen to it? "Drunk lady" is a Friend who was at the party not some rando. The girlfriend is wrong. She could easily have said no to it and didn't. So if she's upset it's on her.

Story 1: The thing that got me was when the Karen tried using an hour and 45 minute flight as reasoning. Like, lady; that’s rookie numbers. My parents were able to corral 7 of us kids on a 5-6 hour red eye flight multiple times, and by the time I was ten flights that were 4+ hours were easy. We didn’t even have tech, we just read books and looked out the window. How entitled can you get my god.

With the story about the girl sitting on the guy’s lap, I can see why that’d upset the girlfriend. However, the girl literally asked her for permission. So, why did she say yes? All she had to do was say “no, that’s my boyfriend, and I don’t find that appropriate with us being in a relationship.” Drunk or not, no girl should be sitting on a guy’s lap cuddling him in front of his girlfriend. That seems like ulterior motives, and being drunk doesn’t completely relieve you of responsibility.

Story 3: Don't say you're okay with something when you're not okay with it, then get angry at someone else for taking you at your word. I don't think there's anything _inherently_ wrong with letting someone else sit on your lap if everyone in the situation consents. Sounds like OP's girlfriend didn't - which she's entitled to not consent - but she should have SAID SO. If someone I'm dating wanted someone else to sit on their lap, I wouldn't care or be bothered - they wouldn't even need to ask me because they know that I'm not insecure and wouldn't get upset over something so minor. BUT, I get that some people ARE that insecure (e.g. OP's girlfriend) and the onus should be on them to say "No, I'm not comfortable with that" and then you respect that.

The last story is heart breaking. She deserves a man who will do both her and his responsibilities cause he put the baby in there. As a man I’ve stepped up to the plate when my childhood best friend got pregnant and the father walked out. Men like this are blights. Life is a gift not everyone deserves.

Second story: yes they did both make stupid decisions but the girl is more in the wrong for letting it happen AND getting that mad at something that isn't completely the boyfriends fault

There should be a special type of police called the Karen enforcers if they see a Karen they will not hesitate to slap them

2nd story. It's completely normal for things to be a bit meh when you first meet after online daring, personally I think it's because everything there is to talk about has already been spoken about unlike when you meet and talk to someone for the first time in person. If you keep meeting and nothing changes and still is just meh then you know for sure it's not really working

Story 3, the guy isnt at fault at all imo. When the gf said yes, she made the entirety of the blame hers. If you keep in mind that the people that they were with were their friends and it wasnt some random girl asking to sit in his lap, the gf would be the one that literally could have said no.

So I have a story of my own to share and I need some advice: Am I the jerk for getting a kid suspended for a entire month? I am a 13 year old female and is moving on to the second year of middle school. This happened last year, I had just moved across sate. I lived on the west coast almost my entire life, I moved due to family matters to the east coast. Now, I went to (made up name) Sprinkle middle school and I was the ‘new student’. Didn’t know anyone or anything about this school. So in my 3rd period, there was this one boy who we will call; De. So De sat next to me and we never talked. Until the second day of school when he began rubbing my thighs and close to my you know what. I was very uncomfortable and so stupid to not tell anyone sooner. This went on for at least 3 weeks, until I told him smack down in the middle of class, “Hey, can you please stop touching me?..” i was a very shy person at that time, “IM NOT EVEN TOUCHING YOU!!” De screamed and lift his hands up. The next day I told my teacher and asked her too move, she said I can sit up by her and everything was ok! At least I thought. I had many kids come up and yell at me for being R@cist and how I hate a black person for NO REASON. I am white as a sheet while De is African American. The only reason why I hated him was not for his skin but because he sexual assaulted me. I reported him to the principal and I was shocked to hear that he was also touching other girls in the grade and hasn’t stopped. The teachers had a meeting and the next month, De was gone! I was very relieved but now I’m afraid that this year he will repeat history.

When I was a kid on flights from BC to Florida. My parents made sure that my siblings and I all had our DS games, ipods, sketch books, and favourite plushie in our carry-ons. Can't be that hard to make sure your kid has something to do while traveling...

Story #3: both at fault, but yeah, getting permission does not absolve you of any liability. Also, girlfriend doesn’t want you to listen to what she is saying. She wants you to be a telepath and read what she is thinking. She also wants you to be able to predict the future. Partners get be very guilty of that. People in relationships should learn clear communication with their partners. Personally, i find playing mind games with my partner more exhausting than trying fix the point of quarrel.

You can't just "love" someone. It doesn't work like that. To the second girl, it's hard, but if he's not what you want, just bite the bullet, it's better for you and better for him. "Love" is earned over time. I didn't love my wife when I first met her, I didn't love her when we dated for a while, I loved her when we dealt with life together and had each other's backs, learning that we fan depend on each other, be there for each other through the hard times.

First story: I would just say no and to leave me alone. It’s mine and my age isn’t any of her damn business. If her son’s bored, she should have thought of that and bought her own stuff. A friend had a Karen just take his switch when he wasn’t looking and wouldn’t give it back. Two separate incidents and both times the Karen had to get off the plan with police and the kids were so embarrassed. The second time friend’s grandma was with him and stood over the Karen with her hand out until the Karen gave it back. She refused to move so the Karen couldn’t even get out of her row. 😂it was glorious watching these karens get dragged off a flight screaming and whining. I saw the videos.

First Story: No electronics owner is comfortable lending their stuff to complete strangers. OP is in the right, Karen should remember that.

For the First Story: I’m in my late twenties and am a huge gamer myself. I don’t like others using my game consoles in general so I understand where the OP is coming from. Video game consoles, especially new ones like the Nintendo Switch are expensive, so it is pretty understandable that people don’t want to share them with others. Gaming is not the cheapest hobby and many people, like myself, are not rich, so saving money and patience plays an important role in acquiring stuff like video game consoles and video games. I’m glad people stood for the OP and put the Karen-Type Lady down.
