@-_*SlickySlickDo* _- Maybe because money is intrinsically worthless and very rich people should somehow smell that? So they invest in expensive building, but their value is instable too as you saw in 2008, cars and whatever... but everything in the end will be reduced to the value of money. You can't use 1000 houses yourself but you can get money for them, by selling or renting. Now what is the problem with money? Capitalism is built on debts that reach insane amounts these days and any year there can be a global financial crisis again. The more money you own, the more you will lose and there is just no meaningful way to spend it beside donating.
@paulgoogol2652

@-_*SlickySlickDo* _- doesn't your state offer welfare? in our society we depend on money for the most basic things, so there is a real worth for money related to necessary things you can gain and use... like I said. The problem with money arises with its scaling. You can live buying a cake everyday so the money for a cake each day is fine but you don't need 1000 cakes for yourself. The scaling of virtual money and dept has by far surpassed buyable goods in the real world and this lost connection will hurt our system very badly if it is not addressed somehow.

As an entrepreneur...I approve of this message. Not many are cut out to be risk takers, leaders, people who hold a great deal of responsibility. Money does not make you happy. Once you have a bit...you have to figure out how to keep it and make it grow. That is not easy in any way. I wish someone taught me that lesson. And yes... pursue what makes you happy and or comfortable. Not everyone is a born leader/risk taker. There needs to be teachers, service providers, farmers, carpenters, people in trades, mechanics, doctors, artists, etc. 50% of this experience we call life is based on your attitude (loving others / having goals / believing in yourself / having a positive attitude when most can't or won't) The rest is hard work, planning, patience, and a little luck. A wise man once told me: I didn't know that when I left my job to become the boss that I would have a hundred more bosses once I owned my own business. God bless

How cool would it be to have an IDEA for a new product, design it, prototype it, get someone to manufacture it, and let other people buy it and resell it to millions of people making you money. You can give hundreds of people a job. Wow! NOW your life has impact. Screw the lambo! Do something meaningful.

Would you not agree there are jobs you would absolutely despise doing or jobs you just wouldn't do well? His point is know your limits, know what you are and what you aren't. There is no "Everybody" job that everyone can do, life isn't that simple. You gotta get out there and search for a passion and fire that rages on where other jobs simmered and faded. The goal isn't necessarily to find a job where you are jolly all day, but to avoid one that could cause depression.

@stormtraders 5 жыл бұрын
I get your point, what he means to say is that what will make you happy wont make someone else happy. The fact that you make 20mil doesnt make you more happy in essence. It depends on the situation. If true freedom makes you very happy then there are other ways to achieve that. What is freedom? The thing is that if you are linking this to a lot of money you will always have the truth that if you make this amount or that amount you are finally free and happy. Thats crazy to think because when that moment comes you realize nothing changed you just live a more comfortable lifestyle. Just like fb and all social media they show you all the material things and freedom lifestyle. But the truth is really that all great entrepeneurs really dont have alot of time. They are all..ways.. working. Do you think the ceo’s of tesla and apple have an easy life? Hell no, these people hardly sleep and with companies like samsung, apple and macintosh those people are always fixing problems and are dealing with a minimal of 10 lawsuits at a time. Just to get everyone of their back. I guess what i’m trying to say is to dont link your happines and freedom in the amount of money that will set your free. Just focus on the goals and legacy’s you want to achieve and the money will be an byproduct of that. Seek happines and freedom now. For all you ever have is this moment.

This speech really got me thinking.. I've been reading the comments down below and saw that non a lot of people did understood the meaning of his words.. it's not about being or not a CEO, it's all about doing something that really makes you happy, because it makes you happy, not for money. Money will come if you're doing something that you love, that can be being a CEO, music, drawing, dancing, selling or whatever is your passion. When you do something that you love, you always try to become better in what you're doing, that will make you money. If you didn't get the idea, probably my english sucks or you just need to read this again!

Basically what he is trying to say is don't do something that you don't even like, because then you would be misserable for the rest of your life all because of money. The true secret is to do what you love and makes you happy then improve on that, that way you are happy and you are financially stable. You can thank me later.😎👍🏾

The fisherman is appreciative and grateful for what he has and the billionaire can’t be satisfied with himself because he is always trying to get more and more and more. I think the message you are supposed to get is that tangible things such as money will not cause intangible things such as a sense of happiness and self acceptance to occur. He is trying to say that money isn’t a bad thing, but you shouldn’t go into entrepreneurship for the sole purpose of making money but instead should into if it really gives you a sense of purpose and direction. He is also saying you shouldn’t be ashamed if you don’t go into entrepreneurship because it means you “aren’t hungry enough” or “don’t want it bad enough”, it just means you don’t need to be an entrepreneur in order to have a sense of purpose, which is okay. In all honesty I think he’s right, it’s better to have a life where you making 40k a year and you live within your means and have family and friends that support and love you than to make 400k and be working 24/7 and have no one to share it with. Some people are like me and other prefer the latter, but regardless it isn’t a reflection of who you are as a person because if you do what you love to do and wake up every day appreciating and enjoying yourself than regardless of your socioeconomic status that is a success.

This message can be applied to anything in life, not just when choosing between being or not being an entrepreneur! As Alex said, if you engage in something, whether it be entrepreneurship, sport, any activity which you don't truly enjoy for the sake of itself but you do it because it's mainstream or tie certain expectations / emotions to it - well, then everyday will feel like a job or chore. You'll wake up with that thought of 'oh god, another day', without drive and hunger to practice and build. I have experienced it first hand with sports when I was younger. Each year a different sport - new team, new patterns, new drills, which were fun to begin with. But just a few months in, when I became more used to the practice, and the overwhelming feeling of starting a new sport was gone, I'd quit. I'd quit because I started the sport out of 'wrong' reasons - I saw a cool movie about it, or it was mainstream, all in all, I could've focused on one thing that I truly enjoyed, but now that time is gone and years of potential practice are gone. Anyways, what I want to say is the following: Whatever it is that you enjoy doing and gives you pleasure - practice it, build it, execute it, make a living out of it - but do it because you want it and have an inner drive to do it. Not because it's mainstream and cool. Because you'll just waste time, potential satisfaction and profit!

I am not willing to work extra hard just to be an entrepreneur and not have a boss, I don't care if I have what it takes I refuse to do it. yes 100% the point he is making is that people think the life of an entrepreneur is the only awesome life which isn't true because most of what you see today are either scams, trust funds or just plain got lucky once guys.. entrepreneurship used to be respectable

The analogy story of the fisherman is spot on. I used to ask tons of business owners why they didn't expand. I got the same answer. I am one who is always growing, expanding and gonna do bigger things. But it is not for everyone.

Ohh! man, you just threw a bucket full of water in my face. Thanks for waking me up bro, i hope many more people get to see this video. I think people forget that entrepreneurship has always been around, the only difference is that the collective mind decided it is the cool new thing to do, because we have all this tech gurus and social media moguls who everybody is idolizing. Before that everyone wanted to be a soldier,lawyer,doctor or actor.Its typical high school mentally, everyone wants to be the cool kid, with little regard for their natural inclinations.

@KZfaq Veterinarian 100% accurate no matter how well you pre-planned you are what ever back up plans you have in your Arsenal something always comes out of nowhere and it's like Knowing all the numbers in the lottery accept the last And there is just a thread of distance between a billion dollar plan and a bankrupt present And I believe there is not an entrepreneur who didn't have second thoughts about his business in some point of time

If you don’t have enough time than you’re an “entrepreneur” by name only. Delegate your responsibilities to others to make the best use of your time. The more people you can help and that you can hire determines what level of entrepreneur you are. If you’re just working for you than you are not an entrepreneur. You’re just self-employed with a really shitty and demanding boss. Level up.
@Blessedeternally

@@ligerllama isn't this Gerber's? Whatever delegating too much responsibility results in unsatisfied workers and a discord in the corp Also employing factor depends on the long term paying capabilities of the corp and financial status, I know what you are talking about, There comes a time for such more Rexalable situations but in reality you have to deal with shits Because as I said I don't think there is any entrepreneur that never had second thoughts

Entrepreneurship is just a pathway. Happiness is in the process. Not the outcome. My happiness in pursuing entrepreneurship is seeing myself grow day by day, away from the self-defeat, anger and the victim that once made me. It is the excitement I have towards building a business empire. It's like playing really fun games. Monopoly etc

A lot of people think being an entrepreneur is stressful bcs of the early uncertainties with friends, family and self. They have a limited midset . people need to know that you can't force entrepreneurship on your self by creating sth you are not passionate and ready to sacrifice for. But the end of the road is better than the beginning bcs it reveals the amount of work we but in. But still if you have a dream that can change the world don't let us it die, find a way. Either on your own if no one believe or with someone that actually sees what you see. Keep the work going 💪💪💪

I first thought about business like the only way to make money and allow myself anything I want, but I didn't understand that EVERYTHING has a cost. Either you enjoy the sacrifice or you will regret for the rest of your life the time you have wasted...have a goal, improve yourself and find a way to reach the goal. Once you have a set goal and you have set the deadline of that goal, you just have to find the way to reach it. Nothing stays the same, this world is changing rapidly and if you want to succeed or survive in the business, you have to match the pace or you get skipped. Simple question: Can you do it? Yes or no? There is nothing in between, be decisive and swift. Read the goddamn books that every successful salesman pushes you to read because they know it works! If you don't like the idea of self-improvement or striving for better future or whatever is your goal, well...leave your dreams on your shelf like those books you borrowed but didn't bother to return to the rightful owners, people, who show the way forward. No one cares about your past, how much you made or when, people care about NOW and either you procure them the solution to their problem NOW or never. One last thing: I am nobody and no one has to read this, but know this...right mindset will help you stay afloat, right knowledge will push you over the limits you once had. Thank you for reading this, if this has value.

Nice video...sometimes is good to hear someone say something passionate and not making you go over board to become someone of value (this being a materialistic empty person) I hate being surrounded by people competing with me because of my salary, my age, my ability or inability to attract people of the opposite sex. it’s better to not have friends then to live in this constant competition of who is more foolish

The problem that I have is that I am 26 and I don’t know what I want to be. I went to college and now I work in an accounting department as an accounts payable coordinator and it’s a chill job. I used to work as a fund accountant and I hated it. I wasn’t good and it was stressful but now my job is chill and easy for me but I don’t feel satisfied at all. I feel that I’m wasting my time away here doing a job that’s too chill and too easy. I’m just at the point where I don’t know where I wanna go from here. I feel pigeonholed and it sucks. I feel like I need to change as an individual. I’m always watching these self help videos and reading book listening to podcast and it gives me perspective but not much really changes. I’m so hard on myself to the point where it may be detrimental. I want change now but change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time. It takes work. I put in the work but I still put myself down and wonder why I haven’t changed yet. Patience is key. I ignore all the good stuff in my life and focus on the few bad. I have to realize that I’m blessed first and foremost. Waking up in the morning is a privilege cause some ppl don’t get to experience that great gift of waking up. Looking life at that way puts my mind at ease. It puts a smile on my face. I’m smiling while writing this. Sometimes I feel that as you get older it’s harder to learn new things. Going to college gave me a perspective that the major you choose is what you have to do for the rest of your life. That’s not true at all. You can do whatever you want. You don’t need college to learn something new. That is a perspective I’m working to adopt. Our minds is always capable of learning new things as long as we put in the work to learn it just as we did in college. Feeing stuck sucks but I must realize that I control the situation I’m in. Loving yourself is key. That’s how you acquire that happiness. At that point you don’t care what other people think of you. I find myself living for other ppl, tryna please them and satisfying their needs over mine. It’s ok to be a little selfish and care for yourself. Life is what you make it so let’s make the best of it. I hope each and one of you find what your looking for.

When you get what you want in your struggle for self and the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself and see what that man has to say For it isn't your father or mother or wife who’s judgment upon you must pass The fellow whose verdict counts the most in your life is the one staring back from the glass Some people may think you a straight-shooting chum and call you a wonderful guy But the guy in the glass says you're only a bum if you can't look him straight in the eye He's the fellow to please never mind all the rest for he's with you clear up to the end And you've passed your most dangerous difficult test if the man in the glass is your friend You may fool the whole world down the pathway of life and get pats on the back as pass But your final reward will be heartaches and Strife if you've cheated the man in the glass.
