In 2005 my dad in italy bought a steel and gold submariner for 5.5k euros (7.7k euros in 2024 according to official inflation calculator), straight from the AD with no waiting list. That was not an entry level and tells clearly how inflated is the current watch bubble

Breitling, IWC, and to some extent Cartier has to be on part 2. You can buy all those watches on grey market from trusted sellers w/box and papers and in very good condition for under 5k. If you go vintage, could save even more.

Grand seiko is the best entry level watch for the money everything is hand finished and fit not even Rolex can say that and frankly even though I love my sd43 next to my grand seikos it looks rudimentary GS better quality finish,more accurate, most have nicely showcased movements and the dial options are insane and who doesn’t love that flawless sweep of a spring drive or a hi beat movement and the best part is you don’t have to play any games at the AD or pay thousands over retail to get one in fact if you buy or owned you can get them at a pretty hood discount. omega would probably be my next choice you ca t go wrong with a speedy or a seamaster either

Good quality, but heavily overpriced for what they offer and people tend to be rather divisive over the F1's designs (you either love or hate it) compared to the classic Carrera, Autavia, etc. Paying retail or even gray market prices for a quartz that uses a Ronda movement or an automatic that uses a modified ETA/Sellita found in watches that cost a fraction of the price is pretty silly. But if you can find them at a good price in good condition on the used market, they can be good purchases.

Because seiko is a brand thats older than rolex and actually stumps swiss watches lol their cheaper watches are so sought out because you iust cant beat the bang for your buck with seiko. Their grand seiko line is the epitome of bang for your buck

entry level watch when the watch is new is more and more expensive,for exemple in secondary market you can have a cartier pasha gmt for 2200$,for the price of the tudor you have an omega richeville gold case 34mm..so for me entry luxury watch is in secondary market.

Of course there are probably hundreds of other choices you could go with depending on their style and preferences.

Their automatic watches uses miyota, and are definitely more than 25dollars, but I can confirm they cost less than 20dollars at a distributor, so cost to manufacture them are even lesser. We are talking about entry luxury, not entry level brands. A good example of an entry luxury would be longines, oris, or even an orient star.

How out of touch do you have to be to call a watch costing $2000-$5000 an “every day wear” 😂 if I bought that it would have to go under lock and key and I actually have a decent salary, just can’t afford to lose, break or have stolen something that costs that much
