This video guides you through the general entry requirements for International Students applying to study in the UK at Cardiff Metropolitan University. It will also take a look at how to apply to Cardiff Met, using the online application form.

Hi Jack, Australia is not listed in the country specific information page which has made it very hard to find equivalents between the AUS HSC and the UK GCSE. Is there any Australia specific information you could provide?

Sounds like you would need another form of English Language Evidence to progress directly onto a degree level course.

Thanks for getting in touch Sunita! Both courses are good options, however it depends on your background, and what you want to study. For Data Science, you will need to have a bachelors in a Computer Science subject, and will continue to specialise. The MBA is a more general course covering many aspects of Business, students from any background can join this course. You would be eligible to apply with your bachelors percentage. Thanks, Jack

Our Advanced Computer Science Masters requires you to have an Honours degree at least 2:2 or its equivalent in a relevant area e.g. Computing, Information Systems or an appropriate Engineering specialism. Thanks for getting in touch! The exact entry requirement varies for each course, but 63% should be high enough for many courses. Any course which lists the entry requirements as a 2:2 degree, this should be the equivalent of. So yes! You do qualify to study a masters in the UK. I hope that helps, Jack

I have completed my BCA - Bachelor of Computer Applications ( modules in IT, Software, Accounts & finance and Management). I have 6 years experience in HR RECRUITMENT. Hi Danish, thanks for getting in touch. Your English score is high enough, however for most undergraduate courses you would also require a 65% average in your 12th. An option would be to take a one year foundation course before your degree. I hope this helps. Thanks, Jack

Thanks for getting in touch. First of all yes, international students are still currently allowed to work as per their visa - 20 hours per week for most full time students. In terms of transferring from one university to another, it will depend on the the university you are transferring to. They will all have different requirements, and will need to see all of the modules you that completed at your current university. Thanks, Jack

Hi I am a student in Kuwait in Arabic I'm looking to study undergraduate degree in your university hope I would be accepted I want to know if I don't have an ilets certificate how can I prove to the university that I am good at English I had seen the video you had posted before but should I apply first and then they will contact me or I have to contact them and tell them what certificate do I have and they will talk to me by the way I have certificate from the school I am studying in form A1 will be true but I don't have the ilets So whats the process

If you don't have IELTS yet, you can still make an application, and our Admissions Team will look at all of your qualifications to see if there is something else we can use to show your English Language. If there is nothing that is possible to use, we can still give you an offer, and then we'd let you know that you would need to take an IELTS test. You can apply with your first term marks, and then you'll receive an offer letter with the details of the marks you need to receive when you graduate. You can also wait until June if you want, but it's good to get the application started! Any more questions just let me know.

@@aced9681 Hi Ace, the Admissions Team would need to review the exact certificate, however it sounds like it may have enough evidence for us to use. However we'd need to see them to be sure. There is no fee for applying!

If you apply before you finish your degree, you can receive a conditional offer. So you can just apply with the transcripts that you do have.

Don't worry - we would never reject an application just because they don't have an IELTS. We would always consider your application and then issue a Conditional Offer, stating that you will be accepted once you have an IELTS. I hope that reassures you! Thanks, Jack

Hi Donna, most UK universities will accept students before they turn 18, which is the age most students start university. However there may be additional administrative tasks, as in the UK, certain documents, such as a lease for accommodation have to be signed by 18+. You would also need to make arrangements for who would be responsible for your welfare (family member etc.), before you turn 18. It would be best to contact the university directly, to find out about any other requirements. Thanks, Jack
