Beautiful technique , I learned this 20 years ago and applied on the collar and sleeves for a corduroy white jacket used red white blue motifs and fluff so much fun! Thanks Tracy

What do you think about using your pinking shears for the hearts? That would look great. The way you cut your hearts gave that inspiration. I like how you cut them out.

Very nice. I think it would have been better if you applied a shabby edge like the quilt boarder. The pillow just needs something more for it to look finished Maybe pom-pom fringe?

Beautiful, Tracy! Did you use the FMQ squares in your recent tutorials to make the shabby rose quilt? I see different FMQ patterns on it, which makes me think that you enhanced your FMQ squares quilt with the shabby roses. Either way, both the quilt and pillow are very pretty! BTW: Where's your sweet sewing assistant??? Napping? 😉 Oh, yeah! In the past I've bought clearance holiday pillows from WalMart for $5 each. They are great to pick up and use for projects like this, if you can find them on clearance. The holiday pillows can be covered with muslin so the holiday fabric doesn't show through your new cover.
