Reviewing environment and nature memoir books that have come into my library! This is part 1 of my new environmental book review series where I will review books under all different genres under the realm of nature and environment writing. Today's books are about environmental activism, returning to the nature of ancestral homelands, and the magic of the grasslands.

Hey Kristina! Thank you for this video. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to read more books especially about subjects I know very little to nothing about. In return may I suggest a fine permaculture classic "The One-Straw Revolution" by Masanobu Fukuoka who was born and raised on the Japanese island of Shikoku. Cheers!

@@kristina_lynn Yes! It can get pretty long and extensive (a bit of humor here and there) but the amount of knowledge and experiences shared through the science of Biogeography is beyond fascinating.

;mari; :jane: good question - it’s up to you and your career on what contracts you take! Common options though are either a field seasons length of time away (4-5 months), a few weeks at a time for a field visit, or multiple years away for a long contract.
