We named our daughter Enya 26 years ago after the artist, she is very happy with her name living a prosperous life. I am convinced playing the Music of Enya when she was a baby, a child, a teenager and now a grown up woman made her the nice person she is today.

He tenido a mi hija de 25 años inconsciente y con respirador artificial una semana en el Hospital en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, con un pronóstico para nada favorable, este día ha recobrado la consciencia y pude hablar con ella, claro que siempre le hablé cuando estuvo inconsciente todos los días mañana y tarde, pero hoy me habló y sentí que mi vida volvió a su lugar, no sé que hubiera pasado si el desenlace hubiera sido otro, no soy una persona de mucha fe, pero sé que las oraciones de mi familia y amigos lograron lo que parecía imposible, hoy estoy escuchando estas hermosas canciones de Enya, a quien escucho desde hace 25 años......... y me siento tan bien por sus elevadas letras y composiciones musicales que me tranquilizan el alma. Gracias Enya por existir y habernos regalado tan hermosa música

I think Enya is the most accomplished artist the world has ever known. Her lilting tunes are hauntingly beautiful. The fact that she is her own symphony only magnifies the beauty of her accomplishments Thank you Enya. I have loved your music for almost forty years and will forever. God bless you.

Oh my Lord! I never knew there were so many that felt the exact same way I do about Enya! I'm 38 and have found solace in her music since I was introduced to it by my Aunt Chrysa when I was about 10 years old. Just reading all of these messages are giving me tears of joy to know God has truly sent us all an angel who has helped, encouraged and inspired us! Amazing! God bless and Hallelujah!

I started listening to Enya in my thirties, now I'm sixty-four and I've passed through a lot of things... Good and bad things and in all of these moments I've had her voice and songs calming me down, as if she was saying to me that everything would be all right...Thank you Enya. I love you and wish you peace and a lot of health!

Iv loved Enya since I heard her for the first time when I was 12. Now I'm 46 and her music still moves me in the most powerful way. Angelic and tranquil it soothes my soul. As an artist myself her music is absolutely awe inspiring!! I shall love it always 💕♥️🥰

I have been listening to Enya since I was an adolescent and I'm in my 30s now. This album here is so special to me. It stands out as a memorial to my beloved father who passed in August 2018; specifically Echoes in Rain. Sometimes or other I would go to sleep with a specific Enya album not a mix or anything. Funnily enough I had not known of this album prior to my father's death. But a few nights after the funeral I went to bed with an Enya album and got up in the middle of the night and Echoes in Rain started to play... if you watch the video version not the official video but the one with the stars and the moon you would understand. It looked like heaven and I felt like he was telling me he was ok. I am forever indebted to Enya for the power of her music.

Lovely. So romantic and so soothing. Loved the Sancta Maria.. well, I loved the rest, too. Enya's talent and beautiful voice is exactly what we need to forget about the upside down world we live in, the last 10 months of chaos, tyranny and ugliness. Enya brings beauty and light, and for a moment, a too short moment, she helps us escape from this period of darkness and evil. I hope she is safe in her beautiful castle.

I too remember her with Clannad. I also have several albums by Clannad. As a band their music is very original and unique. But Enya is far best my favourite to listen to to wind down and relax.

It's so beautiful and unchanging there! I have quite a few of Clannad's album on tape.... Seriously,The Macalla, Fuaim Legends......and some compilations on CD!! I am also lucky enough to have a few limited editions on 45 from Enya.... Book of Days, Oiche Chiun..( Silent Night) for her version is...... Beautiful Beyond Words!!! People have come and gone throughout my life, the most painful of losses you could imagine, but enya, god, I've been listening to her music since it was still on cassette tapes, a wee child who fell asleep to her tapes every night. Her music has helped my healing and staying in the moment and calm. Very thankful.

I totally agree with you. Enya's music is healing, when we can't concentrate on anything else, we don't have to, Enya will transcend the hurt to a higher plane, for me, she has been a constant in my life too, yes, from cassette tapes days :)

That's right!! Enya on cassette tape. Her first and second album Caribbean Blue, Orinoco Flow, Book of Days All those first songs of hers. What's really freaky though is she still looks the same as she did 30 years ago. Maybe that's why all of her songs kinda sound the same She needs to add features to not raise questions. I'm Immortal but I don't go around looking the same. LoL

I first heard Enya when my teen daughters started to listening to her beautiful haunting music. All through Teens, even in chapel at my daughters wedding she had Enya filling the chapel with her beautiful music while I was walking her down the aisle. And through her life and her sister continue to listen to her music,when working to clean their houses, relaxing, and driving. Sadly I lost my youngest daughter to cancer, so I stopped listening to Enya’s music, it was too sad for me, it brings to memories of my daughter and her sister singing along with Enya music in the car, when they were together, and now I still can’t listen to her, I’ve lost my sense of direction since she passed away, I’ve sadly missed Enya’s music, I’m hoping to be brave enough to start listening to her music once again when the memories are not too painful!

Mi Gato Nino y yo también escuchábamos juntos la música de Enya,mi gato Nino daba muy claras evidencias de lo mucho que le gustaba esta música. Mi gran querido amigo mi gato Nino también enfermó de cáncer,cuidandole durante su enfermedad le aliviaba sus dolencias su música favorita,pero...,tras su muerte en diciembre del año 2004 en mi casa no se ha vuelto a escuchar la música de Enya. Hace pocos meses atrás aquí por KZfaq apareció una canción y desde entonces he vuelto a escuchar y a canturrear de nuevo estas hermosas canciones sólo por el teléfono móvil por la calle y en el coche,en casa a veces me alegra muchísimo recordando estar de nuevo juntos mi amigo y yo,pero la mayoría de las veces me pone triste recordando sus últimos días

I feel you man. I'm from Kentucky and a Psychiatrist introduced me to her and Yanni both....Both of their music have saved my life many times over....I wish I could give her a hug and tell her how much she means to me...Likewise with Yanni; forget a handshake, I'd love to give him a hug and thank him so much for the music which has literally kept me from suicide several times. I first heard Enya in 1987. She composed the music for the tv series The Celts which I was watching. I went out and bought the album and listened to it constantly. I find her music calming, uplifting and spiritual. She is such a unique artist. Nobody else I know likes her music and they think I am daft for liking her, but I don't mind.

I've been listening to Enya's music since late 2007. And it's been a complete life-changer. Her voice and melodies have definitely helped me during my difficult and trying times in my life. From tragic family events to tough personal relationships and so on... Her music has made these wounds of mine heal quickly and made me forget about the trauma and pain that I went through. Without a doubt, I think this collection is Enya’s magnum opus even considering the wonders present in her existing body of work. Enya has, in Dark Sky Island, created a beautiful aura, with the message of serenity, love and loss expressed in her melodies, in her music and by her beautiful voice. She exposes for her listeners, universal themes of life we all encounter. Enya is and will remain, without a doubt, the priceless gift to us who are lucky enough to fall under the spells she weaves.

I like Heavy Metal...but I always appreciated Enya's music. Everything is like a "Yin & Yang" so while I have what I opinionate to be the best of Metal (Dark side) I think when it comes to the light stuff Enya is among the best. Awesomely relaxing.

Same hear. But, I'm just now examining her whole catalog, after watching the recent Devin Townsend interview with the female KZfaq vocal coach, where he mentions Watermark as one of his first influences. I grew up on rock and progressed to power metal and thrash, to melodic death, and I always heard bits and pieces of her music and was intrigued, but blew it off, ignorantly, as New Age stuff, which it isn't. Now for the past 2 weeks I am going through every album. I'm 54 and came of age in the late 80's, in Seattle, where metal reigned. So many good bands came out of my neighborhood, but I also listened to some real Jazz, Delta Blues players, some Big Band Swing, classical, and Dead Can Dance/Lisa Gerrard for many years. Can't do rap or country, except maybe some old school country, rarely, and no modern pop, etc. If it's extraordinary, I will listen. What do you mean by Dark Side? Black metal/Death/Doom/Grindcore?
