In today's episode, let us continue our journey of Day 2 on my Offbeat Ladakh 2023 trip in September.
We resume the Day 2 journey with Tsemo Gompa sightseeing where we spend a good amount of time exploring the views and enjoying the sunset from the highest place in Leh. The views of Shanti Stupa from Tsemo Gompa are amazing.
Then we go and explore the Leh Main Market and talk about what are some of the best items to buy from Leh Main Market for your home? What could be some best gifts that you can shop in Leh.
Finally, we went to our local family friend Chamba ji's home for dinner and learned how to make Ladakh Butter Tea or Namkeen Chai and talked about his family and the amazing hospitality he offered us.

Hey brother, I just came back from my short trip to Himachal. I wasn't able to follow EP2 and EP3 at the moment they were released. Just now, i viewed both of them and they are simply amazing. Your narration is engaging as always. Loved the sunset from Tsemo Castle. Keep it up, my friend!!

Nice.👍 Thanks for the breathtaking views. I have stayed in a hostel for 3+1 nights close to Tsemo Gompa but did not visit there. Maybe during my next visit to Leh I may visit.

17:21 Kashmiri Namkeen Chai is similar to Ladakhi Butter Tea, but in Kashmir they add Baking Soda while brewing tea, which makes the tea decoction red. When milk is added, it becomes pink. That's what I understood, being a food blogger for the last 11 years and a passionate cook for the last 4 decades.. Perhaps the special tea leaves your host mentioned, contains baking soda.

@kudpiraj most likely sir that surely could be the reason and he was too shy to speak openly so may have not thought about it or may not know the real reason why those tea leaves turn pink color

@@discoverwithdheeraj obviously he looked shy. There are a few culinary secrets which not many know, but some can't express it even if they know. Basic science should teach us many things in life. I had formulated a spicy masala cookie popular in Kerala and Coastal Karnataka without following any recipe, suggested adding both baking soda and baking powder and one of my followers in Germany got the cookies red instead of golden yellow. I asked her whether it was some camera setting, but she said they indeed turned out red! In fact I too got one or two batches red. Then I realised that added turmeric powder in the cookie dough reacted with soda bicarb to produce Kumkum(Vermillion), which is red in colour!

Ohh.. not sure! Seems KZfaq bhi nahin chaah raha mera content logon tak pahunche 😂 Can you plz try to subscribe/unsubscribe and subscribe to notifications again? May be like some videos or content pieces so that KZfaq knows that you like the content on this channel and it should share more to you. Because channel has 35000 subscribers and only handful 3% of audience is watching my content, it seems that KZfaq algorithm has stopped promoting or pushing the content to even genuine subscribers.. not sure otherwise why it wont work.
