Kalyan sir, thank you for supporting me on my channel.. Well, I will suggest you high level this: 1. September is an ideal time to visit Ladakh but it becomes a bit cold during September. July will have pleasant weather but September will have less tourists and clear weather mostly. Check this video of best time to visit Ladakh for detailed answer: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrtxlZyemJfZlWQ.html 2. Duration depends on if you plan road trip or flying to Leh. Check these two videos for best itinearies for both modes: Ladakh Itinerary By Road: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/armVZsSCy7jTpqs.html Ladakh Itinerary By Air/Flight: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aa2Gda-BnrS9qKs.html 3. Please do check my video of AMS and Tips for Acclimatization: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/br6Zna-i15yzYI0.html Once you check these, we can continue our discussion further. This playlist has details of taxi cost, driver contacts, etc..

Bro, you should have covered "Dil Se" movie shooting spots. It adds more thrill. "Satrangi re" song was partially shot right there at Thiksey monastery & at Basgo ruins. SRK & Manisha Koirala halt at Thiksey. Then opposite to Stakna monastery, across the river, approximate GPS is 34°00'38.3"N 77°41'50.6"E. SRK(Amar) & Manisha Koirala travel in bus which breaks down. SRK demands some answers about her suspicious behavior. Manisha tells a false name "Meghna". Next scene of "Dil se" was shot near by at Shey Stupa fields near Druk White Lotus School, where SRK(Amar) & Manisha(Meghna) walk together, rest overnight. Early morning Meghna ditches Amar, very romantic & emotional shooting, must watch. GPS is 34°04'30.8"N 77°38'15.9"E and 34°04'27.5"N 77°38'17.4"E.

I feel even 2 days are not really enough to acclimatise... I was in Leh Ladakh for a total of 6 days and all through the 6 days if I exerted myself by climbing uphill etc, I used to feel a certain fullness of breath... of course, I'm not athletic and not at the fittest possible, but still... 2 days is not enough. Magically though, I was fine as soon as I reached Manali! 😍

Yes body reacts differently for people.. this time even I was little backed up with breathlessness throughout the trip till the very last day.. definitely hit with severe headache later part, a wildly up set stomach with some stomach bug or infection which did not help further.. i wonder sometimes how some folks are not at all impacted while others are impacted mildly or greatly even with acclimatization!
@wanderlust_rides
@wanderlust_rides 6 ай бұрын
@@discoverwithdheeraj besides the breathlessness, the only other 2 impacts I had are: Dizziness at Khardung La top and Chang La top... Basically anything over 17k ft was causing dizziness... Since I was a solo biker, I made it a point to escape to lower altitude within 15 mins of reaching the top. That tip of yours really helped me! 2) Riding around Leh, like Shey palace, Stakna and Hemis monastery... During the hot sun caused me to have a lot of heat! But I beat that with home remedy! Bought curd from local grocery shop... No less than elixir for a guy like me!
@discoverwithdheeraj
@discoverwithdheeraj 6 ай бұрын
@TheWanderlustDrive well, yeah above 17000 feet it is bound to happen and am so happy the tip to quickly descend helped you there… I always try not to prolong stays at passes! Well, this time my brother in law was riding and I can imagine because even in the car it used to get so much hot and Yogesh was also feeling too much heat. Next time will try the curd therapy and surely recommend others too. Thank you
@wanderlust_rides

@@discoverwithdheeraj I'm sure that you will benefit from curd. Just one funny thing... Being from Pune, Maharashtra, I was looking for Amul curd but up there in Leh I could only find some local dairy brand (probably a brand local to Punjab, I can't really say!) So the taste was weird, not sure if it was made from cow milk or buffalo or goat! 😂 But curd is curd and works wonders! And it really helped me!

Great series. Enjoying each one. Will a foreigner need permits to visit these locations?
@discoverwithdheeraj
@discoverwithdheeraj 6 ай бұрын
Well, around Leh, a foreigner do not need permits but once you follow the entire itinerary of this video then surely you need to apply for Protected Area Permits which is a simple process. As a foreigner you need permits to visit Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Hanle, Tso Moriri etc..
@DebiSenGupta
@DebiSenGupta 6 ай бұрын
@@discoverwithdheeraj thanks for such prompt response. My friend wants to come with me but I was reading at least two foreigners need to apply for a pass. So wanted to find a work around.
@discoverwithdheeraj
@discoverwithdheeraj 6 ай бұрын
@DebiSenGupta last I heard that rule was changed to single foreigner permit but that is very trivial because as PAP need to have a registered travel agent to apply, those local travel agents already have other people and they apply with them.. you do not need to travel together as each one gets their copy.. so that is not an issue at all.. but what I read recently somehwere even single person gets permit not. So both ways you should be ok
