Welcome to the Electric Callboy rabbit hole, a fantastic German band that mix metal, EDM, and pure pop into memorable earworms. Their Tekkno album was probably last year's best drop, Just a FUN band maybe go to "We Got The Moves", "Pump It", or "Spaceman" next? EC are great and correctly described as 'the happiest band on earth' by most KZfaq reviewers.

Kevin is not just the "Keyboarder". He is the screamer/harsh vocalist :) The name "hypa hypa" is of course a reference to "Scooter - Hyper Hyper". While this "döp döp döp" is more of a reference to "Scooter - Maria, I like it loud"

Rap and metal bands used to play the same gigs in the late 80's/90's in the US. THey highly respected eachother and alot of collabs came out of it.

Plus their current album is called Tekkno and of the 10 songs on the album they have made nine videos plus a bonus re-imagining of the Cascada version of "Everytime We Touch" They are a fun band and @TankTheTech has been their North American tour manager and made some vlogs about his experiences He says they are the nicest guys on and off stage.

Kevin nowadays mainly does the harsh vocals, in the old days before Nico was there, he also played the keyboard and gave also his harsh vocals. But still great, that you did your own research. Hypa hypa is right song to start with these guys. It is the first song with Nico. Next should be "We got the moves".

MMXX wasn't the second album but the second ep (with five albums in between). Original edition was released in June of 2020, the 'Hypa Hypa edition' (which included the seven alternative versions) in May of 2021. Originally they were a metalcore band, Attack Attack! their declared role model. Former lead singer Sebastian 'Sushi' founded a new project named Ghostkid immediately after leaving EC. They decided to introduce new clean singer Nico to the fans with a no holds barred - all in - over the top song and video, which was Hypa Hypa (mission accomplished I guess). Nico's former band, To The Rats And Wolves, had disbanded by the end of 2019/ beginning of 2020. EC's guitarist Daniel H., who does the majority of their programming and production, was the producer of TTRAW's debut ep and two of their albums. One of the guitarists and the bassist of TTRAW joined Ghostkid (guitarist left after a year). In 2015, Dixi Wu, the harsh vocalist of TTRAW, featured (in a non-vocal part) in the music video for Crystals by EC, which is known as one of their heaviest and most serious songs (deals with drvg abuse).
