Welcome to the very best band in this part of the universe. They don't do bad songs. Go explore them. It will make your life even better. And when you want to hear more of this enchanting mesmerizing absolutely gorgeous Goddess of metal Floor, next to Nightwish you could also explore a project called Ayreon. Next to this lady you will encounter Michael Mills from Toehider, and lets say the top 100 of the worlds best singers alive. In those projects they collaborate, up to 25 together. And yes, they prove: 1+1=3

Dirt Miller is an independant artist that was brought to most peoples attention through Ren. Ren heard some of his work and suggested to his followers to go check Dirt Miller out. Kansas City was his first big song but this dark image he paints could be for any big Americain City. "He was a Good Man" is my favorite and not as dark a song but many also really like "Troubled by Silence" While I agree that Dirt is very talented, raw, and profound, many of his songs contain profanity which I find off putting. For this reason, I do not listen to or support him regularly. I suspect someone with real talent could read a dictionary and figure out a better way to use the english language to express themselves. Sadly, profanity is seen as a God given right by many.

Welcome to the rabbithole! My advice is to start out by following Gabriel's list, the first four (including this one) are an excellent introduction, then you can decide if there's specific things you are wanting to see/hear. Enjoy!

Chur bro love your reaction. I was like you once i was stuck in the past loving all my eighties classic rock and metal never thought i'd mature with age and find symphonic metal being worth listening to but yet here i am addicted. These musicians are tight and with Floor she can do no wrong. Classicaly trained including theatre, metal trained at a school of rock. She can sing anything even Pop?. Yes even pop. Her vocals are powerful and she's easy on the eyes with cool costumes that many rock princess would love to own but we see her as our Queen...p.s. there's rumours she may even be an immortal goddess?. Maybe one day we'll find out.

a lot of Japanese bands utilize English in their lyrics. I believe part of is due to rock music flowing better with English and another is to reach their English fanbases (it is a primarily English genre after all) #Request band-maid Moratorium. Live or studio, doesn't matter. Though live is usually preferred!
@mootod2 күн бұрын
Ikaros, let me add a bit more as a Japanese. The reason why we use English in lyrics is from our language problem. For example, we don't have exact word for ”I miss you”. We understand the feeling of that word but we can't translate it in Japanese correctly. So it is easy for us to use "I miss you" in English. One more reason is sound of words. "I hate you" is good example. We can translate it in Japanese, but the sound of this translated Japanese words doesn't fit to the music. If you imagine ”Que sera, sera", it is more easier for you to understand. This is the same opinion with Ikaros. Ikaros, thank you for great explaination about Japanese music. I respect and appreciate your knowledge of Japanese music. And my request for next is "Freedom (Live)" and "Real Existance (Live)".

ignore the people giving you shit calling them metal instead of rock, in the end it doesn't matter. Band-Maid is Band-Maid, and we love whatever genre they choose to play! Metal or Rock - It's a generational thing, in the 60's, 70's we categorized Hendrix as Heavy Rock, Blach Sabbat as Byker/Rocker, AC/DC Byker/Rocker/Trash, then Van Halen, that's when metal came out, the word metal was never uttered before that period. If you grow up hearing the word metal to describe rock.. it's nothing too scary.
@roygillotti46154 күн бұрын
Yeah now it seems to me that people associate Metal with the extreme screaming harsh vocal variety... Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath would be hard pressed to be classified as Metal with today's mentality.

Women and music, I started with Hendrix in the 70s and many others. Women are sensitive to shades of colors, perfume, touch (their skin is much thinner than a man's) and music. No band has ever given me as much as Band Maid and in general, I like women's voices better in rock, it brings lightness. Music is a matter of sensitivity and emotion, often, it makes others happy.

@roygillotti46154 күн бұрын
Their new stuff is pretty much Metal adjacent to be honest. In fact a even a bit of their older songs would likely be classified as Metal if they came out in the mid 80s. I'm not saying they should be classified as a Metal band, but they do swing that way when they want to.

BAND-MAID consider themselves to be Hard Rock. But they have so many influences, and Metal is certainly among them. No. You were told wrong. Their first song was 'Thrill'.

“3rd Single” is such a technicality I think. I think it’s the 3rd song released as a “single” outside of albums, but they already had at least 3 full albums at this point and a lot of awesome music. Even their first video is a b-side of their first single, which is still came after an album. No worries though. The music industry can be a weird place. As far as where to go, check out Dice or Blooming imo.

Aside from the incredible music and playing, the way Miku and Saiki have shorten and twisted her lyrics to fit Kanami's writing is pure genius. The cadence, syncopation and soulful expression, like in Choose Me, is rare and kinda old-school-rock exceptional. It feels a bit like scat and fits perfectly to the vibe of the music - one reason why some of us don't care if we can't understand most the lyrics. Thx, Adam!
@nussekuddenxxx65645 күн бұрын
This is far from their first song. The one that saved them from losing the record contract was "Thrill". The first song they wrote themselves that they were allowed to record is "Alone". You will like them both, and everything else they have made for that matter.
