Күн бұрынSocial activist and politician Swati Maliwal currently serves as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing Delhi. She participated in the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement led by social activist Anna Hazare. Swati was the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) from 2015 to 2024. During her tenure, she demanded greater accountability from the Delhi police, leading to frequent clashes between the commission and the police department.
On May 13, Swati Maliwal alleged that she was assaulted by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's aide PS Bibhav Kumar. In this episode of the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Maliwal recounts her ordeal on what exactly happened on May 13. Swati expresses her belief that the truth will come to light once the original version of the videos is released. She feels betrayed by the AAP, noting that her friends and colleagues aren't standing by her. Swati also questions what this means for an ordinary person if it can happen to a Rajya Sabha MP.
Swati also mentions that the AAP leadership never asked her to resign and that some party members have become arrogant due to being in power. She complains that Arvind Kejriwal hasn't called her since the incident came to light and is protecting Bibhav Kumar. You didn't know whole story. Swati cheated kejriwal with his black money, Swati transfer the fund/bitcoin of Kejriwal to her sister account when she was in US. Kejriwal was angry about the action of Swati and Vibhav tried to get back the bitcoin but Swati was not ready to transfer back to Kejriwal/Sunita Account. Then Kejriwal instructed Vibhav to hit her like Street dogs. Vibhav just follow kejriwal instructions. Source : internal source of AAP.

This interview really resurrects Swati, her pride, her image and her confidence!! It clears lot of lies floated about her by her tormentors!! Only thing which intrigued me was she should have seen dubious Kejriwal character before also but waited for this moment to happen!! The similar treatment has been meted to many of her colleagues in the past but she preferred to keep quiet then!! Yes, this fight against a corrupt, cunning , master con, and poisonous man will be long and a tedious one and I am afraid if she gets support from her friends and colleagues!!

This seemed to be like "instructed" interview... The biggest question is... Why was she beaten in the first place... As per her.. when vibhav came into room he screamed at her.. stating, "Teri itni himmat/ aukat ki tu hame mana karegi".... The first question should have been.... What was she doing / not doing / intended to do / intended not to do which turned into violence.... Second question... What was her reason in first place to visit khujliwal on that day... BTW... 1. She clearly stated towards the end that she was NOT asked to resign the RS seat. 2. She stated in the beginning that Bibhav said “who are you to refuse” 3. So, assuming she’s not lying about this, it follows that she was asked to do something ELSE, which Ms. Prakash did not probe at all. Whatever that was, her refusal was apparently enough for Bibhav Kumar to assault a sitting MP in the CM’s residence. Smitha ought to have caught this hole and probed, even if only to get the “under investigation” stone wall as a response from this consummate actor who only revealed what she wanted to reveal, and controlled the entire conversation. Antagonising Maliwal May be Kejriwal’s costliest in a long line of mistakes.

Only thing I believe in this interview is that she has been beaten and that's serious and should be dealt with. Apart from that she is not a holy cow. 100 % true. I got accident my both feet were dark blue color n bad swelling after 24 hours.i couldn’t walk at all. But after accident I was running around because my five yers old child was badly hurt. Today I still think how I was running. Because of agitation and GARAM CHOT. You can walk n run.

Going by the above narration , If such an atrocity can happen against a women in a CM house when the CM is present at the other end , how is that rest of women folks in the city feel the secure under that CM? This event happens to be a great melt down and watershed moment . It has put a lot of credibility questions at CM's ability and his credibility earned so far and his future trust worthiness/guarantee to women folks. She made 1 mistake she should have immediately lodged the FIR and asked police to secure the cctv footage. Kejri needed time to temper with cctv that's why sanjay made the press conference to fool swati and to buy time to temper with cctv. Arvind cannot afford to have shown on national television her former PS assaulting a female MP from his own party in in his own bunglow in her chest, face and in places, she had all the cards i dont know why she bought the Sanjay's we will do justice bullshit. Her career in AAP was finished the moment mrs kejri or kejri thought that they had a better person to keep by their side call it personal interest or payment of getting released but you now know that you're like all other disposable, for god sake swati arvind betrayed kumar vishwas thats as charismatic as you get many people across India felt betrayed about it, so i dont know why she was holding herself to be so secure, arvind made a brand of himself by using anna, she might make a brand of her own if she secures justice for her and brings AAP to their knees, world has seen how AAP is rallying against her if she pulls justice for her and dont compromise like a chicken, she will be a deserving RS MP afterall. Its a all out war swati, as a citizen my advice or perspective is dont compromise its the most difficult time of your life but dont chose a cowards path, know that in law everyone is equal. So they might be in govt. But once court will give the certificate that ur version is correct you would have defeated a entire party and that should be the attitude of a ideal legislature. You are alone but you can earn respect of people, just behave like a legislature. 1. We must understand various aspects of this issue clearly. One aspect is political- SC wrongly favored Arvind and let him out for campaigning but this incident boxed him completely!! To the extent this occupies media narrative till 1st June, it is good for BJP. Beyond this, no one has any relevance for this. Second aspect is about violence against a women who is also a Rajya Sabha MP and it happened in Delhi CMs official residence. This is a criminal issue and Police will deal with it.
