Man, I love this video. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and have been playing classical guitar for the last 13 or so. I've been contemplating giving ukulele a try and recently won a Romero Creations XS Soprano Koa model in a raffle and have been geeking out on all things ukulele because I want to do it right and not simply play it like a guitar. I came across your channel and, naturally, Kalei absolutely blew me away, and now Corey too, not only with music I've never heard but with arrangements I've already been adapting to my 4-string uke. I can't say I know much about the ukulele world, but I can easily recognize that these guys are true, passionate musicians and it's a joy seeing them play, no matter what our musical background may be. If and when the time comes that I purchase another ukulele, these guys are the reason I'll be looking at your shop first. All shops care about sales, but it's great to see musicians who care about the music and give their honest opinions and even criticisms of models that they are tasked with selling.

I love that Romero Creations still makes the smaller instruments. So many Luthiers seem so focused on tenors nowadays. Now I just need to decide which one to get :)

Appreciate you guys showcasing these instruments, especially appreciate your venue video showcasing such talented musicians. I have a few 1920's-60's ukes that have similar tone to Romeros creations now. Pepe managed to build instruments that have awesome warmth before they've even aged. I'd like to hear one of these again after 25 years or more. As a builder myself, I appreciate the tones being produced by Pepe Romero Jr.

Aloha! You guys have effectively re-'turned me on' to the fine instrument of the uke. I have played fretted instruments for well over four decades, and shamefully neglected the instrument within my playing.. No more! I now enjoy a fine soprano made by Laurie Williams of New Zealand (perhaps you could feature his HiHi model- if you can get any), and I have actually ordered a Mango wood Pono Baritone through you guys.... Hey Andrew by any chance are you all going to be getting in any more D Ho 6 strings ? That thing is incredible sounding!!!

Really like the mahogany. The overtones are rich and the decay melts into the air. Mahogany has it’s own clarity plus the balance is always there. The koa and the rest of them sounds nice but are lacking as soon as you put the mahogany away imho.

Love the 6 String Baritone. I am more comfortable playing guitar with the capo on at least the 2nd fret. Short arms, fat fingers, go figure.
