After getting my Chinese visa, I started my journey to the border. My driver was a Sherpa. Since we went in a Mahindra Scorpio, we were able to get over the bumpy roads with ease. We could manage the heavy rains and rocky cliffs. But when we reached a particular area, we saw landslide. Stones and mud were rolling down and it blocked the way. We waited for a while and saw the same thing happening again. I was really shocked to see this. We narrowly escaped from there. Finally, with the help of someone and God's luck, we were able to cross all that. The next doubt was will we be able to cross the China border as it is getting dark? ടിബറ്റിലേക്ക് പോകാനുള്ള ചൈനീസ് വിസ ലഭിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം ഞാൻ ബോർഡറിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രയാരംഭിച്ചു. ഷേർപ്പ വിഭാഗത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ഒരാളായിരുന്നു എന്റെ ഡ്രൈവർ. മഹീന്ദ്ര സ്‌കോർപ്പിയോ ആയതിനാൽ കുണ്ടുംകഴിയുമൊക്കെ അനായാസം മറികടന്നു പോകാൻ സാധിച്ചു. അഗാധമായ കൊക്കയ്‌ക്കും പാറക്കെട്ടുകൾക്കുമിടയിലൂടെ ആ കനത്ത മഴയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അതിസാഹസികമായാണ് സഞ്ചരിച്ചത്. അങ്ങനെ ഒരിടത്തു ചെന്നപ്പോൾ മുന്നിൽ കല്ലുകളും മണ്ണും വീണ് വഴിയടഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടു. നോക്കിനിൽക്കേ വീണ്ടും മലയിടിച്ചിലാരംഭിച്ചു. ആ കാഴ്ച കണ്ട് ശരിക്കും ഞാൻ ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയി. വലിയൊരു അപകടത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ കഷ്ടിച്ചാണ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. ഒടുവിൽ ആരുടെയൊക്കെയോ സഹായവും ദൈവഭാഗ്യവും കൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അത് മറികടക്കുവാൻ സാധിച്ചു. നേരമിരുട്ടിയതിനാൽ ചൈനാ ബോർഡർ കടക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിയുമോ? സംഭവബഹുലമായ വീഡിയോ കാണാം.

സുജിത്, 1985 മുതൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു68 വയസ്സുകാരനാണ്ഞാൻ. കയ്യിലെ പൈസ എടുത്ത് യാത്രപോവുകയല്ലാതെ, ഒരു പൈസപോലും യാത്ര കൊണ്ട്നേടാനായിട്ടില്ല. ജോലിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന 38 വർഷം ബാങ്കിന്റെ LFC കിട്ടിയിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ 8 വർഷമായി വിരമിച്ചിട്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ട്അതും ഇല്ല. എന്നാലും യാത്ര മുടക്കാറില്ല. താങ്കളുടെയാത്രകൾ ആകാംക്ഷയോടെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.... ഇന്ന്- ശരിക്കും പേടിച്ചു പോയി. പ്രതികൂല അവസ്ഥകളെ അതിജീവിച്ചുള്ള ഈ യാത്ര പേടിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. സുരക്ഷിതമായ ഒരു യാത്ര ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.

നേപ്പാൾ വഴി കൈലാസയാത്ര നടത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഈ വഴിയിലൂടെ യാത്ര ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. അന്നും ഇത് പോലെ മലയിടിച്ചിൽ ഉണ്ടായി. കെയ്രോങ്കിലും രണ്ട് ദിവസം താമസിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. വളരെ മനോഹരമാണ് ആ സ്ഥലം. വീണ്ടും ആ സ്ഥലങ്ങളോക്കെ വീണ്ടും കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതിൽ സന്തോഷം.
