In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). This was 6 years ago, you should hear him today! He’s incredible! He sings in all genres too! He’s a worldwide star now but because he won’t sign a contract with the West (thank God!) he’s not mainstream yet! he had a sell out solo concert at The Barclay Centre New York in Dec 2019. He has solo concerts all over the world generally to audiences of 30,000 to 50,000. He has now increased his range to well over 7 octaves (I think it was around 6 octaves in 2017 which is when he was on The Singer competition in China for famous singers, as the first foreigner invited to compete when he was 22. He will be 29 on 24th May, 2023)

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! SOS is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 28 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He sings in many languages while being fluent in his native Kazakh, and Russian with English becoming a third quickly. Dimash videos often get blocked but you can filter them. Stranger is a must see (in English) as well as Sinful Passion. ( In Russian but has subtitles). Just be ready to be stunned every single time.

He became an overnight sensation and blew up in China and on KZfaq! I discovered him just a week later when he covered Vitas' song Opera 2. 😂 All of those contestants are professional singers/performers. The Singer is a show for only established artists and Dimash was invited as a Wild Card, because he was just starting his career in Kazakhstan. He was the first foreigner invited to participate and the youngest at the time. ❤ And they made the mistake of having him go first! 😂🤣

That was a few years ago. He improves all the time. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s very dramatic and in English. Dimash sings in about 15 languages. And many different genres. Opera thru to pop and even a bit of rap. Plays a few instrument, composes, directs, models etc. . A beast on stage, but very humble off stage.
