After the exhausting recovery of my SUV and the persistent rains, I finally return to normalcy, alone in the Italian Alps. The property needs attention, as it only takes a few days for nature to reclaim its space, reminding us of how small we humans are. However, the sunshine is short-lived, as new torrential rains plague the area once again.

@@eponder8876 or some raised beds for the vegetables... Anyways... I'd do this next year and meanwhile focus on getting the renovation at least of the smaller part done. Just start with the pointing of the walls, bit by bit... It's something easy (in the sense of physical demanding) the wife could help with... Or she could help with the fire wood stock... Whatever it is: 4 hands can easyly achieve more in the same time than only 2

Thanks, it wasn't easy, the macro lens isn't professional and the position I was in isn't either....but I'm happy with the result, the target was to bring the viewer as close to nature as possible

Don't know your plans... But how about starting a compost with your grass, some of your ash, etc.? So in the future you'll have your own rich soil and don't have to buy it and especially take it up the mountain... Just an idea...

hey Alex, The cabin that you have is unique from others that I have seen ..... I am most familiar with the stone work on Martijn Doolaard's cabins which for the most part are built of small stones and one color. I have noticed that your cabin has a wide range of sizes and color and looks solidly build .... and your location looks quite remote with drone footage that shows no other ruins or cabins nearby. Are you also near Turin ? Can you tell your viewers about the history of the area ? Should you have access to Spotify or Apple play ....check out this song from the film sound track "Into The Wild" The song is by Eddie Vetter ... the song title is "Society" I think it matches with your thoughts on living apart from the City. There are other cabins but they are vacation homes, from their location I am not visible to them, and I would say that's okay lol. The stones are different, it's true, it's something that struck me because it gives character to the house in my opinion...aesthetically speaking

Ciao Alex, Vedo che tuoi erbette sono cresciuti bene. Pensi di fare quel mix di erbette per carne e verdure grigliate che ti ho detto anno scorso? E molto buono, io ho fatto di nuovo questo anno. Il timo e molto buono anche per fare te. Se conosci altri erbe di montagna puoi fare te misti, hanno aromi sempre freschi di montagna. Tuo piccolo amico vedo che ancora ti fa compania. Non ti fastidicse quando dormi? Mi sono piacuti tanto anche paesaggi di montagna selvatica. Pero uno dei colori verde e troppo giallo. Ieri siamo stati in Gran Paradiso col mio marito e abbiamo preso la pioggia. Nivolet ancora non e aperto, troppo neve li, questo anno non si riesce ad uscire in weekend. Ciao, al Gran Paradiso ci andavo da bambino! Con le erbe faremo una pasta e qualche mix, col tempo vedremo, mia moglie sicuramente inventerà qualcosa. Per quanto riguarda il troppo giallo hai ragione, brava ottima osservazione. Purtroppo con il drone attuale non posso fare di meglio, a seconda della posizione la lente tende a variare il colore quando si vola verso il tramonto.

Gentlemen, right, but I'll give you some explanations. It's not a cell phone that rings, it's sensors that I have both in the driveway of the cabin and scattered in the forest. Unfortunately I don't always remember to turn them off while filming or not to enter their detection zone. For the music some is necessary because the drone shots are silent and therefore there would be a hole in the audio. Otherwise no other sound effects. I'm sorry that some things bothered me, but I take images in the most natural way possible. In any case I will listen to your advice on eliminating these "annoyances"
