In this episode "Lonely Cabin Life", in addition to finishing the lawn near the cabin, I focus on salvaging some old wooden planks and antique items found in the house when I arrived. These items are almost a hundred years old and need to be protected from woodworms. Wildlife is abundant, as is bad weather. The atmosphere here is unique, and time seems to stand still.

I love what you are doing.. I am surprised that you do not have a dog or kitty to keep you with companions, maybe a lady that can live in a place remote and beautiful. I am married, but my wife still lives in the city in the family home, she makes all this possible thanks to her work and her trust in me that I am starting life here. Then she will move too when everything is started. Kitten? I have two of them! Sooner or later they will arrive at the cabin, for sure!

Hello Alex,,, so good wooden creaions....My opinion is that when we choice a kind of life off grid we must be accept and the nature's weather explodes....The difference between normal society life and secluted life, We'll be stounger and more experienced after these,,,

Yes I agree, however I try never to take unnecessary risks, especially if I am far from my wife. However, everything is experienced here

Hi Alex, I was releaved when I saw your video because I saw the images of the floading in your area of the Alps! Hope that both the cabinside as you are save and not to much damage from the weather. How wonderfull the wooden trim around the old bathtub looks with the rain drops on it! Stay save!

HI! Thanks for the thoughts and words. He did a lot of damage right in the valley next to mine. Unfortunately, every time they issue a weather warning there are extreme events. Even the elderly here don't remember similar events, unfortunately... the climate

Hi Helen, don't worry, I'm taking my time off. I also have to try to work based on the weather forecast, because lately in a single day there has been rain and sun several times. So just harvesting and treating the wood becomes a bit of a programming job 😅

Yes, you're right, I have a helmet with integrated headphones, but when I only have to make two or three cuts I don't use it because power tools are less noisy than a combustion engine. However, I will take your advice to heart!

HI! It is a fungicidal and anti-woodworm product for treating wood. Woodworms carry mites that cause very painful and long-lasting bites on the skin, so it's a treatment I had to do. I've tried those stings and they're medieval torture 😅

Ciao Alex, stavo pensando se sei ancora lì, quando ho visto alla fine che sei sceso, meno male. Che disastri questo anno! Una settimana fa ho filmano Cascata di Noasca e ho pensato quanta l'acqua (puoi vedere in mio ultimo video), mai visto così tanta e ieri e stato ancora peggio, disastro in quella valle! Per non parlare di Cervinia! Piccoli lavori in tua cabina continuano, importante e tenersi occupati e migliorare piano piano! Spero non e successo niente grave lì!

Greetings from Italy! No, I'm not in the land of Barolo, I'm close to it let's say. I'm at 1300 meters above sea level, I don't have a defined town centre, in the sense that I'm quite in the middle of nowhere. However, I am not far from the large city of Turin, in the Piedmont region.

They are my sensors, they warn me if animals arrive. There are two very close to the driveway of the house and others scattered around, unfortunately I don't always remember to turn them off when I film
