You did a marvelous job of laying the voyages and events of his journeys. I don’t think any body who ventures out looking for claiming lands where a people already are is ever going to end peacefully, regardless of race, religion, politics and whatever. The mores wanted Europe that wasn’t going stay. The Huns did horribly … well , but that crashed. Even the natives everywhere on the planet would run into conflicts with other tribes natural resources and genetic resources . Even today people don’t know they are spiritually all connected, in a vary literal sense, so that we are best described as brothers and sister to everyone else, so in that context no lands belong more to one than another in a spiritual sense. But that’s never going fly either. Thanks. Before watching this I read Columbus diary of first voyage across . They spotted one night land, the first sighting which was a light in the distance , several confirmed it. They reduced speed in the dark for concern of possibly running into rocks. Buy morning light though they had past that area. So they may have gone between or past a small island . I can Blame them for all the bad behavior but I can’t blame them for disease spreading because they had no clue of this. I think it’s weird that several estimates of the Earth diameter was known by this time, how is it Columbus would take a record of eclipses and not this most basic understanding of the distance he really needed to complete to get to the indies.
