सर में गांव में रहता हूं मेने अपने छोटे जीवन काल मे देखा है कि परिवार के लोग ही रेप करते है और लड़कियां अपनी इज्जत बचाने के लिए जबान नही खोलती है। मेरे गांव में 4 लड़कियों के साथ रेप हुआ। मेरे ननिहाल में 5 लड़कियों का रेप हुआ। ऐसे ही में बहुत लड़कियों को जानता हूं। मेरी ख़ुद की पुरानी और वर्तमान में gf के साथ उसी के परिवार के लोगो ने रेप किया। पर लडकिया सब सहन करती है आवाज तक नही उठाती । इस अंदाजे से भारत मे आज भी 30% लड़कियों के साथ रेप होता है

@shams - This story is inspiring and I have the honor of meeting the sergeant Lisa McVey in person. Thank you for the story from my hometown. I would say that in US, the Govt has a lot of programs to support the families and children in need (I know that no program is perfect, but compared to India, there are hundreds of resources to help children in need). Not only Govt., but there are many private/non profit organizations and churches that help kids whose parents/grand parents are abusive, and of course many people volunteer their time/money/resources as these organizations/institutions can't run without community support. I hope and wish that in India also, the Suburbs/"Mohallas" start creating safe spaces for abused children/families - if most of us commit to do something good for the society and think beyond ourselves, we can make a difference . Together we can have a better society for our children.
