If you do it and go looking for advice prepare (and ignore!) the classic set up dinosaurs who would rather spend hours crimping wires and fannying around with victron products! Great thorough video. I wanted to use the 1500x for an rv or van build but now am thinking of stepping up yo the 3000x. I love the 30amp capability and how many 12v options are available to reduce the need for using the inverter. Also how many ways to charge it. Thank you for demonstrating how to install the module for alternator charging. I'm just amazed with how many different ways it can be charged. Car 12v plug, upgrade to the alternator adapter, throw a panel on the roof and just plug it in to the yeti. Use the AC charger when you have shore power. I love it. 👍👍

You missed out the biggest advantage, how compact it is compared to separate units. A real space saver. Think the big Bluetti’s are a better bang for your buck but can understand going for the big name if you are going to be renting your van out.
@urbanarkoverland2 жыл бұрын
I do mention the size mate. You must be a skipper. I love the look of the bluetti stuff. But you can only choose one eh ha
@amando966 ай бұрын
I built my own lead-acid system with solar and VSR, but it's such a hassle. I have about 45Kg of batteries for about 1 third of the usable capacity of this. It also charges much slower both through the DC-DC charger and solar. Lithium is just amazing with how fast it charges. But I would never ever build my own lithium system. Too much to consider. This is expensive, but what you get is also solid. Just a 2000watt inverter would cost you $500-600, and it's already built-into this. (and you can turn it off/on with an app!) All in all, this weighs less than my current setup for nearly 3 times the usable capacity, with a nearly 10x more powerful inverter with telemetry, and less capacity anxiety wondering how much I have left or etc.

Yep. Takes all of the potential issues away.
