This video marks a big step forward
The day has finally come where Bernard comes with his 2 assistants !
Its time to get the pool waterproofing started
I had never seen how to do fibreglass or how to resin a pool
and lets say that it was a pretty interesting process
Time is Running Out and soon really soon Cyril will be gone
The Outside Landscaping Continues but most of all on this episode of Bordeaux Life the pool gets fibreglassed and its a big step forward
The Good weather is with us so we do as much as we can outside
It has been a long time coming so the grounds transformation and seeing the resin & fibreglass along with waterproofing the pool is something we have so much been looking forward to ..
The kitchen side project takes a small break as we have amazing sunshine ☀️
We are trying to do everything we can as we have been told that if the sun and beautiful weather is with us
Edd & Cyril have hugely transformed the underground cave / wine Cellar
Needless to say we don't want him to leave but he knows he will always be welcome back ...

I turned the translator on just for this video. Bernad was called Fernando in one part.... ooohhh Fernando (Abba reference) :) Made me laugh. Great job on the pool so far.

Ed, observing how the resin is done is another lesson that gives you a chance to try it out yourself on another pool somewhere else in your journey 😊🏊‍♀️ By the way, it was kind of you to take us through the steps how to work with the subtitles on the video audio. PS is your pool heated? It’s all looking great.👍👍

Wow, that was so interesting. We had a fiberglass pool in Florida, but it was fully formed. They put it on a flat bed truck brought it to our backyard and dropped it into the hole. We had a product called “cool deck” applied so you could walk on the cement deck that was poured around the pool even on the hottest of Florida summer days without burning your feet. I think your method is so different yet so perfect for what you are doing! We could never have had such a huge fiberglass pool as you will have. Fiberglass is so much nicer on your feet that the rougher sprayed gunite , you have the best of both products.

You folks must be jumping up and down inside. You have waited so long to get this underway. The next stage will be just like Christmas morning. I am so happy for you. Thanks so much for the explanation at the beginning of the vlog it will be so helpful for me watching KZfaq in general. I wonder if the method of doing resin in for a swimming pool can be applied to thigs like garden reflecting pools and fountains. Looking forward to you next vlog. Keep safe and happy.

What a great You tube tip, thanks Edd! To explain, I could understand and speak French (enough to get by) but I have forgotten so much over the years. Your tip will help me to watch French history vlogs and other chateau vlogs (French owners) after I have watched my favourite people who own chateaux. My admiration for all of you is very high

Omg…. This is so cool. It is so exciting form a silly vloges who can see your results. Please keep this for your home at some point. Do not sell it. Make it your next home for goodness sake. Sell it after you have enjoyed it. A lot of Eddy’s work should be enjoyed by all for a bit! AND are you kidding me…. This is a fabulous home in the making. Cannot imagine the end result as your man Ed is amazing and as well as your contribution Anna. So excited for the final reveal as I’m sure it’s going to be spectacular!

The stone is beautiful, Anna. The pool has been such a long hard job, seeing it nearly done is worth it. Ed is hard working, persistent, and has a good eye for design.

Looks fabulous! Can't wait to see it all finished. Roofers use a propane heat torch like that to install rubber membrane on flat roofs. You two need to kiss and hug before you leave each other. :)

Very near the end now, have enjoyed watching this pool being constructed. In the US it is so different, we built a pool only 4miles from the Mississippi River and it was a nightmare.We hit so many underground springs.

I hope 🤞 you guys buy a gas or solar heater for that 🏊‍♀️ pool. With your weather, otherwise it will stay somewhere between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit, which is freezing! It is a great 👍 size pool for sure! Cheers!

Anna, the sun hitting the chateau is stunning set off by that vivid blue sky, on a beautiful day in January. We just had a blizzard with high winds and 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Edd you are so kind to answer requests for closed captioning in different languages. Bernard and his son’s get right to work and move along quickly. You’ve been waiting for this for a very long time so it’s super exciting. I can imagine the beautiful blue of the sky reflected off the water in the pool and surrounded by the completed patio….stunning!!! xxxx

Anna and Edd- it's early early morning & I'm finally watching the video. Your pool contractor, Bernard, did a great job. Having had a few pools built, I know how long it can take. A blue color will look magnificent, too. Anna is correct about the setting sun's effect on the stone. It is visible in the video to a great extent. Plus, a great big "Boo-yah" to Edd for explaining the translation capability of closed-caption. I hadn't found the proper setting to change until today's lesson. Huzzah! Way to go, Edd!
