I think Alvaro's secret to painting is confidence in every stroke, tell a story and just enjoy every painting...at least thats what i gather and what i try to employ in my paintings. He is definitely one of my favorite artists and a big inspiration for the style of painting i use. Alvaro is from Uruguay I'm afraid but his wife is Argentinian from Córdoba. But all the same, he loves Argentina and goes there every so often...

Castagnet for me is one of the best impressionist in watercolour I have seen ,together maybe with Jane Corsellis and Mike Chapman, Castagnet :his name sound Italian from the Treviso area of Italy I bet his ancestor come from Italy.

alvaro est un génie un peu pathétique, il se la joue anglais alors qu'ils parle couramment espagnol comme l'ont parlé ses parents et toute sa famille puisqu'il vient d'un pays sud-américain dont je tairais le nom ! pauvre monsieur c'est pathétique de se comporter de la sorte !
