I made this steak for July 4th. It turned out great, and even the family that doubted the bourbon marinade recipe loved it. That you for making cooking easy for us all.

Sam, I have recently started watching your videos on KZfaq out of mere curiosity. I have loved watching them and have learned a ton and gained many wonderful insights on how to improve my cooking. Now, I have always thought of myself as pretty good on the grill but after watching some of your videos, I realize that I have a ton to learn. Today, for my oldest son‘s 20th birthday I cooked a marinated flank steak, and applied some of your techniques on how to grill a perfect steak. I want to thank you, and your channel. Thanks to the tips you have taught on your videos I made the best steak I’ve made in 20 years! It was perfect! It was cooked to perfection! My wife’s exact words! I’ve cooked flank steak before but it never turned out like this! Thanks to your grilling tips, I made my family very happy today! Thanks Sam! Keep up the amazing work! Jason in Denver.

I’ve made a bunch of your food and it’s all been great but holy hell, this is the first time I’ve felt obligated to leave a thank you! The wife even said to tell you thanks. I forgot to marinade my flap steak last night to grill today so I searched a new recipe and got yours. Only marinated 1 hour at room temp and grilled over charcoal. The best beef I’ve ever cooked or eaten. Thank you! (Used Basil Hayden’s because it was the cheapest bourbon in the house)

It appears, (Cuts and Burns) Sam, that you put your life on the line every time you cook for us. My friends tell me that I need a hero. I'll just tell them I and a million other viewers already have one. At the beginning of the video I wondered why you chose a Flank. Then came the sandwich. Now I know why and it looks fantastic. That bourbon sauce could easily become a staple in my house. I can't wait to try it. I especially loved the part where you dragged the steak across the pit causing a blaze of fire and then watching the juices flow. I have to go to the grocery store now. :)
