Ronnie has gradually developed into such a composed, tactical and calm player. Doesn't over try shots anymore, uses minimal energy, keeps it neat and simple. What a complete player he is.

The economy with which Ronnie plays is incredible. Never seen a player play in such a finely tuned manner. Maybe the closest is Ray Reardon

I still remember when Ronnie and John met for their first televised match, way back when, probably 25 years ago. They were both so young then, and Higgins won that first match. Not sure who holds the most wins over the decades when they have played each other, but i think Ronnie has the edge over John. Back then I thought John was the "Aristocrat" and Ronnie was the working lad! Both of them have come a long way since that first match, and they both remain a joy to watch.

É por detalhes como esse que o torna lenda. Todos os outros jogadores praticam o "freestyle" depois que o frame está vencido, ou em jogos com adversários mais fracos. Ronnie é como o Rei Pelé, nos momentos mais difíceis e desafiadores, nas decisões de grande porte, Pelé "aprontava" suas magias, O'Sullivan igualmente!!! Pessoas que não jogaram sinuca não podem entender o que estou dizendo. O que caracteriza os gigantes é a força mental e emocional.

i find it amazing (and great) that John is still there, at this level. a player from Hendry's generation is still in the mix. It's the equivalent of when John/Hendry/Williams/Doherty were challenging the 'old guard' inc. jimmy white/ steve davis/alex etc. but john is now the 'old guard'🙂

John envelheceu mas é da idade do Ronnie, ± 6 meses mais velho que Ronnie. Hendry é 6 anos mais velho que os dois, não sei se podemos considera-lo como da mesma geração de Higgins e Sullivan.
