Doug Polk is sick and tired of hearing Daniel Negreanu complain about his luck in the $200/$400 heads up challenge. It's time to dispel some myths about who has been running hot and who has not.

yeah, I'm sure doug can be somewhat annoyed with dnegs rants since at a certain point, its basically dnegs saying doug isn't good or is unjustifiably winning but I wonder how much is Doug throwing the rant life back at dnegs as a tongue in cheek rant? I still think dnegs adjusted but also is running good the last 10+ sessions. literally if doug was able to hit or not get cold decked in just 2 of the any big pots (not counting last session, it was crazy), he would be up another $200k. He just cant seem to get a stacking to save his life. He literally has to 4x jam shove river to get folds and also never seems to have in when pot is big.

Doug - thank you once again for bringing us this great content. Here is my concern about this though, and I am a huge fan of Doug - I am worried that it is too early to be tapping the glass. I do understand that at some point - "enough is enough" - and it's only human to want to call someone out on their complete BS when they literally can't stop spewing it at every opportunity. I think anyone who has a decent amount of poker experience could watch this match and clearly see that there is a massive skill gap here coupled with a delusional idea that the results are luck based in the opposite direction of what they should be. Daniel can't even refrain from complaining about his "bad luck" when he is on a chess stream with Hikaru. Doug is spot on here - if the hands were reversed, the losses for Daniel would be orders of magnitude higher. I can't wait to see what the red line graph looks like when this is over. In the prior interviews, it was clear that Doug was being super nice, and I assumed that it was partially truthful and partially encouraging him to continue playing. This goes back to not tapping the glass. At this point, maybe none of that matters anymore since he has already committed to the 25k hands. This might reduce the amount Doug wins over the remainder of the match (assuming Daniel or his coaches comprehend what Doug is exposing), or who knows - maybe it tilts Daniel even more. I've just always believed in not tapping the glass when you have a fish on the hook at the poker table. But perhaps it is simply time to call a spade a spade and expose this guy for what he is.

You said "I don't enjoy poker", that's the truth for me as well. I've had many good years and many bad years. But I've never won as much as you. I've played huge games but just a break even pro in the end. Which is good because there's many losing pros. I should have stuck to tournaments full time, I'm way ahead in tournament ROI. I still play on occasion, and probably will continue. But I stopped enjoying the game a long time ago. It used to be a gentleman's game for ruthless individuals, now it's just a bunch of cocky assholes or players whom never worked a day in their life. Thanks for being honest.
