Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

I think the army took the phrase "put yourself together" a little to literal

While it is a "main characters vs CGI minions" climatic battle that have become the standard of the superhero genre, there's still a lot to like about this fight. The CGI has aged pretty well, the Golden Army's design is pretty unique, I like how the Golden Army soldiers aren't mindless robotic drones but have a degree of personality (i.e., confusion when they can't touch Johann, pain/fear when they get sucked into the bigger grinds), and the sequence of the first wave putting themselves back together is a neat idea with tons of little details I like. Really is a shame del Toro's Hellboy series never got another film, I would have loved to have seen what del Toro did next.

I hadn't seen hellboy in a long time. Forgot the army could put itself back together.

You also apparently forgot that Johann (Germanic ghost suit dude) has the funniest lines in the movie.

I love the idea of a machine that can repair itself from _anything,_ but I’ve always wondered how they did this. What makes the Golden Army so powerful? I have a theory. The city seen before this battle is entirely deserted, supposedly because it began to wither once the modern age began and its population bled off, but I don’t think that’s the case at all. When the Goblins came to the King of the Elves, they promised him an army that could heal from any wound, kill any enemy and destroy any nation. But they never stated what the cost would be, so we’re led to assume they were just doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, but let’s be honest, when has a Goblin ever done anything for free? No. The King paid a terrible price for dominance, and that price was 4,900 of his _own people,_ bound soul and all to the gold and iron of the automatons as they were made. That’s why they can heal, why they never get tired…they aren’t running off steam. Their engines are burning Souls as fuel.

That would make a lot of sense since the one machine that gets possessed turned blued

Can't help but wonder what would happen had Selma Blair's character melted the Golden Army since gold is a soft malleable metal for liquefaction.
@paneledmeteor335 ай бұрын
They’d probably reassemble into one big Golden soldier
@JamesTAdams5 ай бұрын
They might just reconstitute themselves. Gold is malleable yes, but that doesn’t really matter when that Gold can reforge itself back into any component needed. They’d just reforge themselves piece by piece
